Located conveniently near the harbor, Harbour Grand Kowloon garners appreciation for its grand aesthetics and the stunning views offered by its sizable and clean rooms. However, some guests have called out the hotel for its steep pricing and underwhelming club offerings. The hotel's cleanliness overall receives high marks, though a more meticulous approach to dusting has been suggested by reviewers.
While the professional staff is often commended, the check-in process can be frustratingly slow. Mixed feelings persist about the amenities, with the comfortable rooms being a highlight amidst critiques of pool upkeep and the breakfast options.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 2 night at this hotel before travelling onto Australia. Upon check in we were moved to the new section and our room overlooked the harbour.
The front desk staff, particulary Charles and George were excellent, they couldnt help us enough, allowing us to use the hotel phone after our flight onwards was cancelled.
The room on the 32nd floor was light and airy with a well lit bathroom and complementary toiletries.
The hotel is in a good location, with Whampoa metro station just around the corner and a short walk along a promenade to the avenue of stars. There is a free shuttle bus also running but the metro proved to be so easy to use and very convenient for us so we didnt use it.
We did take the train from the airport to Kowloon station and a free bus transfer from there to the hotel for a very reasonable price, very easy to do, buy your tickets in the airport and much cheaper than a taxi transfer.

We spent 14 nights at this hotel the end of November/beginning of December 2019. We were aware that there would be some building work going on whilst we were there, but to be honest this caused us no problems whatsoever.
The Hotel is on Victoria Harbour, with a lovely walk from there to Tsim Sha Tsui along the promenade with striking views of Hong Kong Island.
We had requested a central harbour view room, which is what we got. The room was stunning and was in what appeared to be a newer part of the hotel. The only negative thing is that as we were there for 2 weeks, there was a severe lack of storage. The only "drawer" was a large one under the settee, but with both of us using it, this made it extremely heavy to move in and out - it wasn't on castors and just flat on the floor. I don't think that was what it was designed for in any event. However, if we didn't use that drawer we would have had to live out of our suitcases, which would not have been ideal. There was more than ample room under the television to house a reasonable sized set of drawers. Whilst I appreciate most people possibly stay there for a night or 2, and don't need additional storage, the hotel may wish to consider offering a room with storage when guests are staying for longer periods.
The bathroom was lovely but the side of the bath was high with a deep marble surround which made it quite tricky to get in and out of. A handrail of some sort would have made me feel much safer getting in and out.
The one real disappointment with this hotel was the breakfast. Each day was practically the same. A couple of times we didn't even bother going for breakfast. The hot food was usually tepid at best, so the best on offer was usually an omelette made to order. I appreciate that the hotel has to cater for so many different nationalities, however we were in Australia last year catring for similar guests, and the hotels we stayed at were far superior at breakfast time. The continental breakfast usually consisted of 2 types of sliced meat and 2 types of sliced cheese, both of which were not refrigerated but left to sweat under glass domes. The least I expect from a 5 star establishment at breakfast is smoked salmon, but it never appeared the whole 2 weeks we were there.
The fruit on offer was also poor. Each morning you had grapes, apples, oranges, different varieties of melon and sometimes dragon fruit. The other fruits on offer of pear, peaches and lychees were tinned. Again, for a 5 star establishment I would expect to have some berries or similar. I don't even think I seen a banana whilst I was there.
As a result of the poor breakfast, we decided not to eat at the hotel for dinner, so we cannot comment on the restaurant. A hotel's breakfast usually signifies the standard of food within the hotel, so it didn't fill us with any confidence. The hotel's loss at the end of the day.
The roof top pool is absolutely gorgeous, but it is not heated, and far too cold that most of the guests avoided it.
This is a lovely hotel, and we are glad we stayed, but I don't think we'll be back.

My family has stayed in many times due to the fantastic services and brilliant performance.
Cindy always follow up the accommodation tightly and handling all enquiries rapidly, we are so appreciated on her diligent effort and enthusiastic working attitude.
Furthermore, Ryan and all front desk staffs such as Queenie, Millie, Charles, George, Ivy Kam..... were so polite and smart. Especially Queenie, Millie and Charles can recognize our family in every visit and always send us a heartful greets.
Besides, the entrance staffs like Wak (But I am not sure the full name of the Indian staffs who wear eye-glasses) and Man were take care my elderly mother very well during get off from taxi and also Paul and Bruce was eager to settle the luggages after check-in.
On the other hand, the dining experience here was unforgettable and delighted by your industrious and professional staffs such as Sherman, Patrick, Tony at the Waterfront; Bringo Chow, Jason, Kyle, Eric at Robatayaki. In addition, the lamb chop at Waterfront was so delicious and the Sumo Choice in Robatayaki was amazing and wonderful. Moreover, Shirley at the Corner Cafe and the gym rooms staffs have been given my little cousin very kindly assistance on the VIK games.
Another bright point is all the rooms and suites we stay was so comfy with a stunning view. Moreover, excellent room tidiness was attained by those professional housekeepers such as Ying and Raymond which let us have an outstanding quality of living.
Honestly, we felt so enjoyable and fruitful to stay here according to the marvelous services, we booked again to stay this month to celebrate the upcoming XMas vacation.
Last but not least, the hotel's COVID-19 precaution measures was executed so reliable and need to thumb up on all your staffs still keep spirit to work professionally even under pandemic situation, in this regard, I wish you all have a good health and take good care always .Thousands of thanks and looking forward to come back later.

Our family felt so enjoyable and fruitful to stay at Harbour Grand Kowloon from 25 July to 30 July.
The staff such as Millie Chan, Bingo and Christie, they are very helpful and nice.
Luckily, we could enjoy the lunch at Robatayaki and Waterfront Bar & Terrace on 26 July and 28 July .
The food is very delicious. Especially, the Sumo's Choice Brunch Menu at Robatayaki. The roasted crab legs and shrimps are very nice.
Our family and I needed to say Thank you to all the staff who took the takeaway lunch and dinner and room service food to our room. They were very hardworking and polite. Our family and I appreciated their working attitude so much.
We plan to stay at Harbour Grand Kowloon
in October according to the hotel's outstanding sevices.

+1
Nice weekend staycation at this hotel in Hung Hom. It’s right on the waterfront so if you get a Harbour View room you get a nice view over the water. My 29/F Tower room looked out over to North Point and Quarry Bay, not the Central skyline. But if you go to the pool deck you get a great view to Central especially in the evening.
Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The main restaurant is closed at this time because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We got food delivery to the hotel lobby in the evenings and ate breakfast and lunch at many nearby restaurants in Hung Hom. Breakfast at the very close Noc coffee shop is great.
The Tower room is nice. Super clean with very comfortable bed. Free WiFi for 2 devices, AirCon, robes/slippers, safe, desk, flatscreen TV, small minibar fridge, wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities.
The bathroom has a nice large walk-in shower.
Overall a nice relaxing stay and break from the routine during these strange times.

A 5 star review doesn’t always have to be for a five property. Harbour Grand Kowloon did exceed my expectation in my recent staycation.
When I arrived in a Sunday afternoon, no queue at all. I was 100% certain it took immense effort for the FO team to achieve this under the insane staycation trend lately. I had the pleasure to meet the GSM Queenie Tsoi, who was informative, courteous and helpful throughout the registration. While keeping the checkin efficient, she explained perks in details.
I reserved a suite through official website and I was surprised that it was further upgraded to the premium suite on the top floor was arranged (For all reading this - upgrades greatly depend on various uncontrollable factors so please take them as bonus rather than guaranteed request”). The suite was perfect - spacious and stylish. Honestly I didn’t expect too much from this hotel but I guessed some sorts of renovation might have taken place in recent years since aesthetically the new wing was more pleasant than many of its competitors.
The great package deal also included semi-buffet breakfast and a complimentary drink at their waterfront lounge (A tiny bit dated but the ambience was very relaxing).
So in short the experience was definitely beyond my expectation and I’d surely consider HGKowloon in the future for any short getaway.

Arrived in the morning after over night flights exhausted and we were welcomed so warmly by Charles and a little later by Millie. Our friends had arrived 2 days previously and let the hotel know that it was my wifes 60 th birthday that day and our room was ready for us and they had very kindly provided a cake and some treats for us which was so welcome after two long flights! We were staying in club rooms and although the club itself wasn't in operation we were able to use the bar area outside which I can't remember the name of just next to the hotel with a lovely large outside area to enjoy the views across the water to Hongkong itself. We had all the club drinks and snacks etc there The staff were excellent. The rooms are very comfortable with great facilities and great views. We would definitely stay here again and found breakfast to be excellent too. Hotel is in a good location and we walked easily along the edge of the water to enjoy the bustle of Hongkong and very much appreciated getting back to the more peaceful surroundings of this hotel! Thankyou Millie and Charles for looking after us so well. We stayed with you for two nights January 16th and 17th before joining a cruise and we really appreciated your care.

From the moment we arrived we where made to feel Welcome and special . Hart who checked us in was wonderful and very helpful showing us around and giving us advice on the surrounding area . Also the man on concierge was amazing who booked a trip for us with splendid to Hong Kong city which was very enjoyable . The hotel is beautiful and we paid on array all for buffet breakfast which was offered at discounted rate and was very good , our 5 year old loved the breakfast from noodles to pastries ... book it it’s worth the money . It’s a shame the hotel was being refurbished and we didn’t get chance to use the pool facilities but the view over the Harbour from our room was awesome . Nothing was too much trouble for anyone at the hotel very helpful and very polite and friendly .

The hotel was recommended and booked for us by Trailfinders as part of a flight package to Australia. It is located on the harbourside with views across to Hong Kong island. It is about a 40 minute walk along the promenade to the Star Ferry terminal but well worth the effort. There is also a regular free shuttle bus from the hotel to the terminal and shops. The hotel itself ticks all the boxes. There are plenty of staff on duty to answer any questions and help out generally. Rooms are well equipped, comfy and with great views, and there is a roof-top pool with bar although it goes into the shadow of other tall buildings later on in the afternoon. I can't comment on the restaurants as we ate out locally including the adjoining terrace bar which has a happy hour between 4 - 7 pm. There are also plenty of shops nearby if you don't to want to avoid those in the city centre. We spent 3 nights in the hotel and would happily recommend it.

I arrived yesterday and was shown to my room by an excellent member of staff called Charles who couldn’t be more helpful and informative, unfortunately we were shown to one of the none refurbished rooms and wasn’t very happy (extremely dated and shabby) so Charles arranged for us to move a newly finished room (much better but still not much storage) and the windows give off a freezing temperature! Breakfast was nice but the whole place is freezing cold 🥶 sadly most things are closed in the hotel for either refurbishment or because of the Coronavirus! No pools are open again for the above reasons and again wasn’t warned before we arrived ! How can a hotel charge full price and only give half of the service ! When I brought this up to the duty manager I was sadly just dismissed with the excuse of the virus.
Overall the reception/restaurant staff are lovely and the place is clean but the facilities are awful and it’s definitely not a 5star hotel.
Can’t wait to leave.

Can’t wait to leave.

As per time that period, they have not taken up transportation from airport train terminal to the hotel.
However it’s quite easy to get there.
Option 1 - AirPort Express to Kowloon Station and then a taxi ride to the hotel
Option 2 - Airport bus E23/E23A from airport to Tsz Wan Shan, but the stop you get off at is Whampoa Garden bus terminus. 3 minutes walk from Harbour Grand Kowloon.
Option 3 - Uber/taxi from airport. (Of course the most convenient way after a long flight.
Taxi cheaper than the airport shuttle for us as 3 of us
Sorry Glennis... I can’t help you with this question.. I would contact the hotel directly... Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and new year 🥂
