The hotel has great charm and character and is well located giving easy access to the business centre and to leisure areas i.e. shopping, restaurants, the various bays and tourist attractions. Public spaces/restaurants are lovely. Bedrooms and bathrooms very well appointed with great attention to detail. What makes the hotel are the staff. They remember your name, are very welcoming,...

You would be hard pressed to find a better hotel. For all reasons, staying here is an excellent experience. The spa is as good as it gets and the general hotel service is faultless. All the restaurants are quality and the flow of HK foot traffic makes it a place to get things done.

Some hotels offer excellence but without real heart. They are perfect but detached from their guests. The Mandarin Oriental sets the standard for real hospitality and an overwhelming sense of welcome and wellbeing.

I Visited Hong Kong On A Business Trip And Was Lucky Enough To Stay At The Mandarin Oriental. I Must Say It Is A Beautiful Hotel. The Little Touches Were Nice To See Such As Small Gifts Left In The Room And Tidying Your Phone Charger Cables. Excellent Hotel With Extremely Polite and Helpful Staff.

I stayed at this hotel during my recent trip to Hong Kong. Upon checking out, I accidentally left my passport behind which I only realised at the airport. I called the hotel who immediately passed me to the duty manager. Mr. Stanley quickly arranged for a car to bring the passport to me and even talked to me check-in counter...

Rooms: international standard size in cramped HK. really a luxury. despite age of hotel, rooms don't feel old, amenities are good. Toilets are large. Lighting great. Service: addition of a special new toiletry daily is a nice surprise. facial mist, eye relaxer, special bath salts. Location: 10 mins walk from airport express final stop of central station. Hardly any steps.

One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Courteous and efficient reception at the airport, charming greeting at the hotel, fabulous suite with quite the most gorgeous bathroom, they seem to have thought of everything. Even down to providing TWO bathrobes - fluffy white ones and slinky black silk ones. Little "pillow presents" every night (so much cuter than chocs)...

With a recent business tour of Asia, I enjoyed two short stays at this hotel. Its location at Central is ideal for business and just a few minutes walk from shopping areas such as the IFC and evening locations in Lan Kwai Fong. Rooms are well appointed and with a good selection of TV channels and on-demand movies. Service is...

It is a gem in the center of everything with easy access to the MTR. Location could not be better. Well-maintained rooms and facilities, impeccable service from our arrival at the airport to our check out. By the way, I strongly recommend the hotel greet&meet at intl arrivals with the limo transfer, even considering it is a bit pricey. You'll...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
