Good location with tram stop right in the front of the building. Not as full on as kooloon island. Not as noise. I have been staying at other hotels in hong kong for double the price and half the size. Big window with enough sun light, double block out curtain and massive king size bed. Love it

The hotel itself is showing its age. Room had great amount of storage, but weren't super clean. Hair and sticky areas around the room from past guests. The bed was hard, but serviceable. As a king size bed, they just pushed 2 twin beds together. Great WiFi. Front desk staff were more interested in their computers than on assisting guests....

In a winning formula, the hotel offered an upgrade to a suite on check-in. The extra beds were helpful in putting up a friend who swung by HK to visit. The suite was large, with heaps of storage and a small kichenette. There was even a sliver of a view to the Harbour in between the towers. The self-service laundry...

Stayed for seven nights and would love to stay here again! Check-in/out was easy and simple! Nice room and bathroom. Fridge, microwave and kettle in room. Two bottles of water and coffee/tea. Clean and fresh. On the down side: bed was really hard! Thin doors, you hear your neighbours come and go... Close to public transports (tram, bus, mtr) Great...

To start with the positives, I picked this place due to its location. Relatively good access to MTR and has a tram "ding ding" stop at the front. Unfortunately, I saw the mostly negatives when inside as I was allocated a room on the fourth floor. The window in the room faces out in to the balcony for smokers, which...

Small property but not a budget hotel, unlike what is being said in the other reviews. 60 West is priced about US$20 - USD30 lower than ibis Hotel which is a couple of block up. Rooms are spacious and conveniently located long a very busy street between 2 MTR stations. I have mixed feelings about the cleanliness. While the room...

This hotel is locate at Sheung Wan. Just middle of two metro station, Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun. We try walk from Sheung Wan station to hotel. But there are many small lane and easy to lost way. Suggest get down at Sai Ying Pun. Take elevator from A1 exit, turn LEFT, you will reach Des Voeux Rd West....

What a great budget hotel in up and coming Sheung Wan. The hotel is 5 mins walk to both Sheung Wan station and Sai Yin Pun stations. Also tram stop right out the front of the hotel so a real treat for a tram buff to see double decker trams rolling past the big windows of the hotel room with...

I read up about this hotel on trip advisor and I saw not so good comments of guests who stayed here so I wasn't expecting much. We checked in past 7PM and greeted by a young woman at the reception. We gave HKD500 for a security deposit (which is kinda ridiculous because the room we got even cost less). We...

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
