Really near the MTR practically just right across the street. Rooms are small but comfy. Guy at the reception desk was really kind and helpful but cannot understand English. Had a nice stay with a large group of friends.

Location of hostel is great, it is in Kowloon and just few steps from MTR Jordan station - Exit B. It is convinient place, you can get everywhere just by foot, for example Temple Street Night Market -5min. Staff is very nice and kind, friendly lady is there almost 24 hour every day. She doesn´t speak English but she is...

The Hostel is located on the city center and 1 minute from one of the main subway stations. It is really confortable if you wanna move around the city with public transportation. The owner was adorable and he was always taking care of us and our necessities. The rooms were completely clean and perfectly organized. The only thing less good...

This hostel is not the cheapest you can get in Nathan Road but is good enough if you're traveling on a budget. They cleaned the room daily and replaced towels every other day. You have en-suite bathroom which is nice and not too small. The only downside is their attendants dont speak English. You can get a hold of them...

Other than having to argue to get a room with a double bed as booked, I found it Ok to stay in. The very cramped bathroom does not allow room for getting changed or undressed so if sharing with friends could mean vacating for a while to give privacy. Cannot leave anything in the bathroom without it getting wet including...

The small room and bath gives you an impression of how crowded HK is and how the majority of people must be living. If this isn't bothering you too much, you are getting a clean room with good WiFi connection, TV, AC and hot water (there is a switch for turning that on in the room) in a very good...

Was looking for a budget room for our stay in HK and I stumbled upon this. So after reading and comparing reviews of different budget hostels/inns, I've decided to book a double room for 2 for a 3D2N stay. Here's the pros and cons for me. I apologize if this will be quite long haha. PROS: 1) Great location. Just...

We all know accomodations in HK are more expensive than the rest of Asia, and that they are TINY. This is just another example. Houseowners that speak little to no English, tiny rooms, on a shady-looking building, surprisingly cold (AC does not work for heating). The location is great though, cleanliness of the rooms also very adequate.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
