Some hotel staff just directly opened my door with her key card while I was changing and had no time to answer the bell. This is really shocking, I just can’t believe someone will just enter my room like that! What if it was a male staff?? I was changing my clothes!! And the staff just leave without any apology.. she was going to check the room cleaning service but this is absolutely terrifying when I give it a second thought….
The light of the panel control cannot be separately control. I'm personally hate to swithed off all my light when I went to bed at any place, due to lack of security. However, the control panel couldn't control one light specifically. My sleeping experiences for the last couple of nights weren't good. So the lighting needed to be check, if the hotel so called themselves or mentioned to the rest of the hotel declared they are SMART hotel. The showering system was hardly to be used. The instructions weren't clear enough. The colour sign of the shower weren't clearly seen during shower, because of the steam and the drips of water. The water pressure of the massage mode wasn't that much enough. Could be designed with real situations and better customer experience. May I mention if the hotel due to the environmental protection and not providing tissue in the resting room instead of washroom. Also the scanners of the elevators and door lock weren't that sensitive. The room smart TV couldn't project and mirroring my SmartPhone screen directly instead of using other app and the instructions of the teaching in TV weren't that clear, also couldn't be paused. Could be designed better.…
Choosing a hotel during the pandemic, I highly consider hygiene. For my long stay, comfort and design are key. Alva has them all. What’s more is its location with 2 subway stations and numerous bus lines to Kowloon and the Island, as well as the mountains, rivers and bridges. Most unique of all is its green and healthy lifestyles – central water dispensers replacing plastic bottles, free bike rentals for cycling along the river, spacious lobby and social lounge… have made my long stay feeling short and enjoyable. Last and most appreciative of all is the professional and hospitable service of the staff team. I highly recommend Alva!
This is our second stay at ALVA Hotel By Royal Hong Kong. Special thanks to Leo Cham as he offered us free upgrade to suite during our check-in for both Sep and Oct stays, as a motivation for my 5 years old daughter primary school interviews. The suite is huge with living room, and we do enjoy very much on the beautiful river and mountain views. The overall experience is wonderful and this comfy environment really helps my daughter to perform at her best during the interviews. Very helpful staffs, nice location with view. Too bad that I only stay for one night, but will like to stay couple more days later and enjoy the bike ride offer from the hotel. Hotel is very close to Shatin MTR station/New Town Plaza where a lot of restaurants with different kinds of food to choose from.
Nice staff. I really appreciate Jeffrey’s enthusiasm when I check in, can feel his sincerity even mask on. I asked about several places in Statin, and he answer patiently and accurately told me the route.
To celebrate my daughter birthday, I book a package (room + dinner buffet) at Alva by Royal. Luxury lobby with very courtesy and welcoming Front Desk staff, checked in a beautiful room with nice river view. Many many choices at dinner buffet table and most of them very delicious. My daughter enjoyed this trip very much and love to visit again. Great value……..

Special thanks to 2 Guest service staff members. 1. Thank you Louisa for the hospitality. My partner and I had a great anniversary stay there. 2. Tomy Leung who stations at the main door and driveway. He politely guided us to where we wanted to go with his professionalism and his knowledge in the area. The only downside of our stay was that we didn’t really enjoy the buffet breakfast. We got to the restaurant at 9am. Some of the food was cold already for example the hash browns. But overall experience was very good!
I booked the birthday package to celebrate my husband's birthday, and this is our first staycation too. The room was exceptionally clean & comfortable, and the food quality was amazing!!! Big thanks to Louisa, Lavender, Derek & To, they are professional & super helpful, we genuinely enjoyed it ~~~ In conclusion, this is a wonderful & memorable experience for our first staycation, I will strongly recommend it to our family & friends & come back again!
