HK is just not a cheap city - not for shopping, not for accommodation, not for much else. So expect to pay big money for big hotel rooms. City Plus is UK £ 30 / night for a double room & bath. Amazing central location - but it's about the same size as a phonebox . If you can manage...

This place, despite appearances while finding it, is absolutely lovely. The manager is so nice and friendly and even took our laundry down to the laundromat for us when we couldn't find it! (and only asked for the cost printed on the receipt). Yes, its a small room but it had enough storage room (under the bed and in the...

It is a great place to stay...it is exactly the same as what you see in pictures. Their best asset is the Filipina receptionist, she is very accommodating and she goes out of her way to provide assistance. The location is near in a lot of nice spots in HK. I will definitely stay again in this hostel.... :)

The location is Great! It is so near the MTR Mongkok Station and the Night/Ladies Market.Near 7-eleven, Mcdo. Clean Room and Fast Wifi. The Toilet is a bit small but this is a budget traveller hostel so you don't expect too much. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and nothing to fancy. This is the place...

The caretaker of this hostel is a Filipina, so it's an advantage for us Filipinos to communicate and get things right. Plus when I reserved for this booking, the person I exchanged emails with can write good english. For the room, we had a double ensuite private room, was quite small, we barely had space to move because our luggage...

City Plus hostel was recommended by a friend which was perfectly located near the Ladies Market. It was, I think,a 5 minute walk. It was also a minute walk to Nathan Rd. It's the main road where you can ride a bus or the MTR. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable enough for you to sleep....

Room was tiny and expensive but we expected this for HK. Good location in Mong Kok, close to MTR and KCR stations. Owner was helpful and got us some discounted tickets. Good wifi, reasonably comfortable room but it was really, really small. Toiletries provided. A bit noisy, could hear the streets even though on 9th floor but we were able...

The location is great! It is located in central Mong Kok just next to the MTR and only 2 minutes walk to the ladies market. But this is the only good thing about the hostel. The rooms are very small, but we expected that because of the price. Me and my friend stayed for 5 nights and we got bitten...

I found a better option for budget room after I had to deal with a bad behave owner at HK budget on the 5th, 7th floor at the same building, The city plus is located on the 9th and 14th floor of Sincere Building, Mong Kok which is a great location with subway station and shopping market nearby, also it...

The hotel is situated right in the centre of all the shops and restaurants. It's on the 14 floor of a large building. It's easy to find if you catch the A21 from the airport and get off at Nathan's road. The room its self is very small! It's liveable for a few days but was enough after 6 days...

Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. “Room and bathroom is very small, no much space for big luggage.”

“There is a high probability that prices were elevated for the New Year period, but I have also been told that Hong Kong accommodation prices are generally expensive compared to other nearby areas, including mainland China. If you are booking for holiday periods or major events, book early! Some rooms are very near the main door (Room 3 and 2, I believe) and, therefore staying in one of these could mean a restless night. Personally, I prepared and wore ear plugs. Plus, given our stay was during the festive period, I slept deeply due to (moderate) alcohol consumption.”
