Located just a few blocks from Jordan station, this hotel puts you in the midst of some of Kowloon's best daipai dong eating, great shopping and the restful Kowloon Park. The staff are welcoming and helpful in English, with comfortable beds, great showers and friendly service. It's a great value-for-money option if you're in Hong Kong for a short stop...

A so-so hotel. Though, location is good considering that it's near the night market and lots of food options. Staff was ok but better if they could speak good English (I guess that's the norm in HK) :)

Great location, clean bathroom, very close to MTR station, good choice of shops and restaurants nearby. The problem is that the smell of smoke comes into the room from under the door when others smoke in the hallway or their own rooms. Rooms are small, but in Hong Kong we can't find anything bigger for this price.

Pros: - Great location (everything you need is close by) - Great wifi (handles youtube no worries) - Good air con (cools down the room quickly...Possibly becuase the room was so small haha) - Fairly clean Cons: - Thin walls (whenever someone uses a tap or flushes a toilet you WILL know about it) - Miniscule rooms (I stayed in...

Location is good, easy to catch the train and find something to eat. But the room is quite small. (Try to request for the room ending with 5; 405, 805, 705 etc.) it will be bigger room/ standard size room) The room is filled with smoke. (I'm not smoking and I travel with kids, so I feel quite annoying). You...

Having never been to Hong Kong before, I wanted to spend a night there before returning to Australia from my business trip in China. So, the bad points are that the room was tiny, hardly enough room for the bed, you could only get on it from the end. The wallpaper was coming off the walls and the noise from...

On the 1st day, not easy to navigate to this place from the airport shuttle drop-off point & also from the nearest exit of jordan MTR, maybe it was due to me not knowing the roads. But from the 2nd day onwards, once you remember the directions, it will be better. the single room was small and cozy for a...

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay while waiting for a visa to China. Nowhere on the booking site did it say that the single rooms have no windows. It was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen and not worth the $550 HKD for the night. Even more claustraphobic with no window. The mamager was understanding and graciously refunded...

To be fair, I had booked a single room, but I never imagined it would be THAT small. People had clearly been smoking in it previously. The walls are thin as paper, and noises leaked in from all around. Arriving at midnight, the streets are very vibrant with noisy drunks and pleasure seekers. I would not stay here again. The...

Stayed in HK over New Year and returned to the Goodrich Hotel. Yes, the room is tiny and there is no window and it is not a bargain. But all this is common to HK. Very convenient for the A22 or N11 airport buses -the much cheaper alternative to the Airport Express. What sets this Hotel apart from others in...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
