This is a well-deserved review that I have been wanting to write. I came to Hong Kong for a personal reason and ended up staying at Butterfly on Prat for more than a month. I highly recommend Butterfly on Prat because of the following reasons:
1. Outstanding services – Management, housekeeping and front desk staff are very friendly and professional, and services are timely and efficient. This is a result of great leadership and management under the Group Operations Director, Mr. Kevin Tse and the Front Office Manager, Miss Angel Lee. Under an unusual circumstance, I interacted with Angel and a lot of staff and even got to meet Kevin. Everyone went above and beyond to meet my needs. Angel deserves a special mention as she is excellent in problem solving. I couldn’t be happier with their services.
2. Excellent location – This hotel is in the heart of TST with proximity (less than 5 minutes) to both MTR East TST station and MTR TST station. It is also very close to a major Bus Terminal, Kowloon Park, major shopping centers, grocery stores and tons of restaurants.
3. Unique WiFi device offering – This is a huge convenience to those who do not have a local cell phone data plan and want to use their own smartphone from oversea like me. I basically use my phone from the US for internet such as Google, Maps and WhatsApp, etc. This WiFi device offer is rare as most hotels do not have such service.
4. Dehumidifier– This is another great feature (available upon request) that is uncommon in other hotels. It helps to keep the room dry especially when the weather is super humid.
5. Modern, stylish and elegant décor without compromising practicality from lobby to rooms.
By the way, I used to stay at another Butterfly Hotel in the past and also had excellent experience. When choosing hotel in Hong Kong, Butterfly hotel chain especially Butterfly on Prat will always be my first choice!

Stayed at Butterfly on Prat for over a month. It's in an amazingly convenient location; Eating, shopping, MTR are just steps away. The hotel was under renovation during my stay but the staffs was very helpful in making sure we are not affected by it. Furthermore, the service of the hotel was top notch where they put forth extra effort that all our requests are fulfilled. I'd especially thank Gene Li for his hospitality. Keep up the great service! I'd love to stay at your hotel once again.

I've just recently stayed at this hotel for over 3 months. Throughout my stay there, there were many great staffs that made my stay extra special with their warm hospitality. Although I cannot fully list all of them, but I sincerely felt all the staffs were very warm and welcoming. Here, I would like to specially thank Eunice, Kenneth and Funny for all their hard work to cater my needs.
The hotel itself is well kept. I switched around a few rooms, but some of them do have a smell from the humidity. The location is amazing. 5 min walk from MTR. Close to a lot of great food places. Shopping.
I'd stay at this hotel again next time I'm back in Hong Kong.

The hotel has a mix of long-term residents and short-night guests, as it also operates as a monthly rental. The location is good, however, I discount two points for the following:
1- security: during my stay I felt a strong burning smell in my room (16th floor) and I began to see smoke in the AC crack. Several people on my floor were leaving their rooms. I went to the receptionist and told her the situation, and she went up the elevator to check the floor, which seemed dangerous to me. A couple of hours later I returned and no one told me anything, only the next day I found out that there was an electrical failure on the 17th floor where repairs were being carried out. There was no security protocol.
2- maintenance and cleaning: upon entering I was informed that if the sheets become stained this results in extra charges. When I got to my room, all the sheets and pillows had some stains. The hotel room is small, but the service is great. There are many restaurants nearby, star avenue is just walking distance. Mrt is also few minutes walk away, very convenient. The bed is comfortable even though the room is small. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful and always reply promptly to my emails. We are also grateful that they are able to let us check in as soon as we arrive!! We arrive at 12pm!! We can then shower after arriving from our early flight. Really appreciate it. They will also provide fresh towels daily and 2 bottles of water daily.

Saw this accommodation on AGODA.COM and decided to give it a try. Booked 3 nights.
Getting to the Hotel from the Airport was easy. Took Airport Bus A21 from the Airport and got off at Mody Road, Chatham Road South Bus Stop. The journey took about 1 hour and cost HK$34.60. From the Bus Stop, walk up a few metres and turn left into Prat Avenue. The hotel is just about 2 minutes on the left. (To get to the Airport, just catch Airport Bus A21 on the opposite side)
The location of the Hotel is superb, right in the heart of Tsimshatsui. There are lots of eateries and shops nearby.
I was given a room on the 3rd level. As I booked the superior King, the room was rather spacious. The bathroom was very spacious as well! As I was aware of the ban on single-use plastic, I was mentally prepared not to expect too much. Though the room was clean and tidy, it looked empty.
There was no toothpaste/brush, no coffee/tea bags, no disposable sandals, no bottled water. There were big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower cream but no soap or liquid soap in the bathroom. No towel hook for used towels.
Also, there was no phone in the room! I had to go down to the reception to inform them the safe was not working. Imagine if I stay on the highest floor... rather inconvenient. (I was later informed that there was a contact number to call, but it goes to the Customer Service (CS) and the CS will inform the Hotel. Do note to make that call, I would be charged an overseas roaming call rate on my mobile!)
I am OK to bring toiletries stuff when I travel (I usually do that). However, when you stay in a 4-star Hotel, you expect a certain level of standard and comfort. Even in the lobby, I did not feel a sense of welcome from the reception staff.
The Hotel would change the bath towel and clear any rubbish in the room during my 3-night stay. Minimum housekeeping if you stay less than 7 days. Every day, I tidied my bed, washed my used cups, and cleaned the tabletop and the toilet bowl.
Would I stay here again? Not if I have a choice.......

Although the room was small, it looked newly-renovated. Location is convenient for restaurants, train stations, convenient stores, etc. We were accommodated for early check-in (yey!) and front desk personnel was cheerful and friendly. I just noticed days on, the front desk staff stopped looking friendly and wouldn’t even smile when greeted. The lack of some basics like even a towel hook in the shower and hand soap (and dish soap) shave off one star. Come off it; the hotel didn’t exactly gice dirt cheap rate. And I noticed the room was dusty the first few minutes I checked into the room.

Great location to access restaurants, bars, and shopping malls. The room was clearly decorated compared to previous poor reviews. It was ok in general. My stay was actually decent. Front office manager Angel was very nice and helpful with late checkouts and assisted to print covid test reports. Overall, great stay.

The a.c. would be an issue, especial in the summer night in Hk. My girl friend and I are those couples who can’t really deal live without a.c. We notice the a.c. supply couldn’t satisfy our needs, since we check in kinda late, both of us were tired and do had some attitudes.
When i went down and complaint about the issue, one of the staff called Masa did offer me for a room changing, which kinda surprise, he also offer for an additional fan as a back up.
Through the conversation, he was kinda gentle and attentive, which made me impress.

Microwave is not available in the rooms of Butterfly on Prat. Only water heater for coffee is available.
My family of 9 took the HK shuttle bus to the hotel and we found it more convenient than the train. With multiple luggages, it is a better option than lugging suitcases in and out of trains. I think it was about USD 30-40 round trip.
Just around the corner about 80m from the front door of the hotel is the Park Hotel. Cut across the alley turn right and the Shuttle bus is right in front of a convenience store (opposite the Park Hotel).
We took the airport bus on the way back, but ordered a private transfer through klook.
There’s no room in the hotel for luggage storage as such. So you have to have your suitcases in the room.
