There is not really much I can say about this hotel that is good. The only good things would be that it's near(ish) Wan Chai station and has an air conditioned reception. As soon as you walk in the door this strange smell hits you that I can only describe as cheesy feet. Reception is located on the 11th floor....

The hotel is good value for money and is in a good location. The MTR station is a modest walk, the trams close by and the bars and restaurants of Wan Chai are close too. The reception is on the 11th floor and there a various bars and a pool hotel located on the floors below. I was surprised and...

Stayed a night for the business trip, a bit far away from the MTR station, need about 15mins walk. Lots of restaurant surround. The hotel lift was fairly slow and the room was small, nothing inside the room is valuable even there is no minibar service but surprisingly the hotel required for a deposit. Hotel entrance looked fashionable but while...

I expected basic for the price and thats what I got. No carpet, old and rundown furnishings and electrics. I had a harborview room on the 15th floor. The room was pretty small with two single beds. The beds were firm but comfortable. AC was hard to control, it was either way too cold or not cold enough. In the...

I stayed there during Hong Kong Basel Art Fair. It does the job, but if there is anything else available I wouldn't stay there again. The rooms are very small, the AC has only 2 settings: Alaska or Miami. I was alone in the room so i set the AC on Alaska and used both comforters to sleep comfortably. There...

Old hotel, very small room for such an amount of money the bed is standing between 3 walls, you can only step inside the bed on one side. No space to leave the suitcase, bad tv quality, no drinks (even water)in the cooler which wasn't working, and so on!

I think this is the worst hotel I've stayed at. The lifts weren't working, the girl at reception (Nicole Chu) couldn't speak English and never had a smile on her. They weren't helpful at all with recommendations. We had to carry all our luggage to our room. The room was tiny and smelt like cigarettes 24/7. You can smell the...

I can't really speak for the condition of the hotel or anything else the people say below, but all I can say is that the customer service was really good. I had personal reasons for not being able to stay for the time that I had booked, and at short notice I had to cancel. I was really grateful for...

Everything about this hotel is bad. Rooms not cleaned, bathroom smells, dark, old furniture, 2 single beds instead of double. Lifts unpredictable. Poor location. Taxi drivers can't find. We booked and paid for 3 nights, even though we could not get a refund we only stayed 1 night. Staff totally uninterested.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
