Good price and value. Heart of party district. Hotel is located on high floors so the view is amazing. Staff is pretty unfriendly tho. Anyway we are not spoiled kids with crazy demands so we enjoyed every minute in this hotel. Anyway who wants to sleep in HK? Stop complaining and try Hong Kong's nightlife ;)

Price was somewhat decent, rooms are filthy, the place smells and the customer service is HORRIBLE!! After check out while waiting in the ground floor lobby we were verbally assulted by one of the staff. I had put my sore feet on my luggage while waiting for another person in our party. The hotel door man came over and proceeded...

This hotel really should be a one star hotel. The staff are polite but this is not enough when everything smells soooo bad. The rooms are not that clean as its an old hotel and the beds are hard as rock. I did read the bad critics but did not take it too seriously. HK is expensive but it is...

Although it is a budget hotel, the services are deplorable. The staff are very rude, unfriendly and do not bother about guests! we had to carry our own luggage and was rudely told by the "bell boy" that he was not paid to carry our luggage and that it was not his job! It is located walking distance from underground...

We stayed there for a couple of days in January 2016. We were told that this was like the coldest weather for the last 60 years. Even though I have asked for the extra blanket, the first night was freezing. The wind was going through the windows as well. The Internet was not so stable. Oh, and you can actually...

We spent 3 or 4 nights in this hotel, Wi-fi was so slow, even browsing google was hard, sometimes it wasn't working at all. The staff was cold and not friendly at all. We had to take all of our luggages by ourself, we had to carry our 40kg hardware by hand. Rooms were small . It feels very old....

If you go in knowing this is not a luxury hotel, it actually is not a bad place. What I like is its central location on HK Island with multiple bus lines, the subway and a ferry terminal within few minutes' walk. A covered walkway to the harbor promenade starts at the end of block. It is surrounded by shops,...

I visited HK for 7 nights, whilst I loved the city unfortunately I can't say the same for Kings Hotel. Upon arrival, the staff at reception were unfriendly and not helpful at all with suggestions of places to visit nearby! I also had to pay a deposit of $500 on a credit card which was not advised at the time...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
