Stayed here as a solo traveller for 3 days during May. The hotel is located in the famous 'Chung King Mansion' which has lots of hotels. The approach to the hotel is kinda shady with lots of agents and brokers surrounding you for rooms, but, if you choose to ignore all that and straight-away take the elevator, its not at...

I have stayed at this place three times over the years. It is located in Chung King Mansion (a famous little group of towers full of shops, hostels, and some restaurants). You need to know which elevator to get on when you walk into the building, and there are signs by each elevator showing which hostels that elevator goes too....

Thx to all the comments here I was mentally prepared and yes, especially when you arrive with your luggage you will be greeted by a hord of Indians/Africans who try to sell you anything (room, bags, handwatches and one time a full list of drugs). But just see it funny, or as woman say "don't touch me", it helps. However...

I have stayed at this hostel for 4 nights during my trip in Hongkong. The location is super good, near the harbor, Avenue of Stars where you can have great view in HongKong and there are 2 stations nearby. One is opposite the building and one is on the right side..only few steps . The room was okay, small but...

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the rooms clean, serviced and more than adequate for sleeping and showering. They are small, but far from cramped. We had a twin room for two and the space was never an issue. The location is also superb and the price the best you can find on a budget. The building is...

I stayed at Ashoka Hostel in the famous Chung King Mansion at Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui Hongkong and when everyone hears about Chung King Mansion, they usually well had bad comments. But honestly, it's not that pretty bad. The location is superb! You're in the middle of Hongkong Island and Kowloon Island where it's the best location that you...

We were staying in Ashoka Hostel for New Year. I booked a room in another hostel via AGODA but they were sorry to say that the hostel was full and rebooked this one.The hostel is situated right in the centre of Hong Kong. Go by subway to Tsim Sha Tsui station, Exit C and when you exit right on the...

So... the Ashoka served a purpose and gave my sweet heart and I a place to stay in the heat of it during our New Year celebration. However, the amenities are scarce and the building is a little on the sketchy side (a trip down porn alley each time we headed back added to the excitement!). The room wasn't terribly...

I will start with the only positive which is the location. It is near the harbour and Mtr which is really handy. Now.... Expect hawkers to hassle you every day going in and out of the place. There is only one lift and you will have to queue for it every time. Our room was nothing like the pictures. It...

We stayed at Ashoka Hotel from Nov. 26-30, 2014. The room is small but it has its own bathroom with a heater. The beds are bunk beds. The room was clean, but when my friend inspected her bed, she noticed some stray hair underneath the pillow. Eeew! I inspected my bed and also found some strands of hair. Double eew!...
