I stayed over at Cityview hotel for 6 days during my recent trip to Hong Kong and I was very happy with the hotel. They provided excellent service and was always willing to help me with my enquiry. They are usually fluent in English though some of them knows Cantonese better. The hotel is rather spacious, considered many other hotels...

We arrived late eveing at HK airport & caught the A21 City Flyer bus which dropped us 100 metres from the hotel. The checkin was seamless & the staff efficient. Our room was rather small but we only paid for a standard room (125 AUD) so no surprise. The breakfast was excellent & our stay was very enjoyable.

most major points of interest are a 30 minute walk (altough there is a subway station nearby), the rooms are cramped, the staff unhelpful, there is internet in the lobby for a fee. Cleanliness and food gets a passing mark.

We chose this hotel because of its location immediately beside Ya Ma Tei subway station and it's close proximity to Mong Kock with many of the markets. The rooms are reasonably large and the bathrooms quite spacious. Air conditioning was effective. The control panel for the lights took a bit of figuring out! The pool was a disappointment and we...

It was through friend's recommendation and forum's good reviews before we decided to stay in this hotel. Getting to the hotel was easy. Take the Airport Express from Hong Kong Intl Airport to Kowloon station. Follow the signage which lead to the free shuttle bus services to the city. Take Bus K5, it would stop at The Cityview. How convenient...

We picked this hotel because having lived in Hong Kong I knew that it was central to the markets and Nathan Road (which is the main shopping area of Kowloon). We found the hotel, although dated, was very clean and the staff more than helpful. House keeping did a sterling job of keeping our coffee supplies topped up. Biggest let...

We stayed in the premier room and rooms were very clean. It is few steps away from Yau Ma Tei MTR station. Many shops and eateries within walking distance. The service is good. The hotel provide a free shuttle bus to and from Kowloon Airport Express Station. Very convenient with every 20 mins frequency. Staff were helpful.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed two nights at this hotel, and we came back with more than 20 bedbug bites!!! What kind of modern hotel in a cosmopolitian city allows bedbugs to breed and torture guests??!! The hotel's toilet was mouldy and stank. Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
