As others have said, getting here is a bit tricky, and I wouldn't say it's ''in the heart'' of anywhere. You have to walk a lot to get to places, and if you don't speak Chinese navigating your way around can be a bit confusing....More

Stayed at this hostel for 4 nights and felt like it was the real China - not the glitzy high end shopping mall city. It's down on the Yangtze River waterfront surrounded by local street markets and an almost constant movement of warehouse imports/ exports...More
Location - as others have said, slightly difficult to find. Taxi driver wasn't sure even with the map provided.
We paid 20rmb for taxi from jangkou metro. The driver started at 30 so we thought it was a good deal, but prob wasn't.
We had a nice stay in this hostel in Downtown Chongqing.
The staff is really friendly and speaks a decent amount of English, so they will be able to help you with any requests for your further travels.
