Grand on outside and lobby but rooms smallish. In a community area, not city. Good to mix with locals. On a tour so this is where we were taken. Beds hard, which is usual in china. Breakfast ok but hard to move around when lots of people there. They need new toasters as it took ages.

Having read previous reviews I was expecting a 'basic' hotel - far from the truth. The rooms were spacious albeit a little tired in appearance, very much along the American style of hotel rooms. The facilities in the room were very good though it was a little dark even with all the lights on. The bed was firm (read that...

Typical large three star business hotel. Spacious, airy lobby and good sized rooms. Clean accommodation with good sized beds and crisp white sheets. Half decent bedroom furniture. Very hot even in late september. Breakfast pretty dire and really lets this hotel down. the fresh omelette is the best bet.Packed breakfast we got on the last morning was much better! Reception...

We had been warned that the hotels in China may not be up to the standards that we are used to in Europe but we certainly had no complaints here. The look of the hotel, the décor, cleanliness, food, service and facilities were all very good and we would certainly stay there again. There was a choice of European or...

We stayed in this hotel for 3nights at the start of our Wendy wu tour, and what an awful start! The carpets were filthy, sheets and towels were dirty upon arrival, I was so pleased I had brought my own after reading other reviews!! The food and drink at breakfast were both disgusting, the juice was clearly watered down with...

My wife and I spent three nights here at the end of a Wendy Wu 'Silk Road Explorer' tour. The lobby area looks quite grand and has a small shop. Our room (no. 1112) was very clean and had a double bed (not as hard as most in Chine), a bar fridge, tea maker, an old flat screen TV with...

This was the last stop on our Wendy Wu tour. The hotel is situated in a less that salubrious location, and well out of Beijing, and not very well located given most of the tourist attractions are on the other side of town. The hotel on face value looked pretty good, although the staff had limited English skills, and not...

Having read a lot of reviews we were not expecting a great hotel.Entrance looked real classy and that`s as far as it got, rooms spacious, bathroom dowdy and slightly run-down,bed was really really hard came as painful starter to the tour.Evening meal was taken over the road in a slightly run down area though the food was quite good,b/fast was a struggle,overcrowded...

The other reviews are accurate. The foyer is splendid, the rooms adequate in size and cleanliness, the neighborhood very dodgy looking. The slight bathroom mould, poor quality towels , ineffective air conditioning and rock hard beds were not serious problems. I never got the TV to work, but the breakfast was OK so that's the main thing. Travelling with Wendy...

Our expectations were not high but generally we were satisfied. The higher rooms have the added advantage of a breeze to compensate for the patchy air-con. Room clean bathroom clean but shower just a dribble. Breakfast was "western" with usual eggs any style cooked fresh but be prepared for a long wait for the toaster. Plenty of restaurants within easy...
