The location of this hotel is very poor. Aside from the Temple of Heaven its a long way from main attractions. Biggest problem of all is its a good 30 minutes walk from the metro. The hotel is in desperate need of a good clean and a refurb - its looks old dirty and tired. Carpets are stained. Cracked and...

Contrary to other reviews we found the breakfast good and plentiful. it does smell of smoke because people are allowed to smoke in the hotel corridors. As usual needs a make over to update it, but we found it perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. And yes, once you get outside of Hong Kong language is a problem. All...

We were accommodated here for 3 nights by a tour company as the first stage of a Trans-Siberian railway trip. The hotel is obviously used by a number of Western tour groups. We were very disappointed, the hotel is a owned by a state tobacco company and has extensive meeting and conference rooms, and being in China, everyone smokes. The...

the rooms were adequate both in size and layout The continental breakfast was below par. With coffee that looked and tasted like dishwater, orange drink and not juice, bread that was difficult to toast and hard boiled eggs. There were a few Asian dishes, such as gongee. The staff were helpful

Average hotel close to Temple of Heaven and circus show. Requested an extra bed on check in but it never showed up. Out non-smoking room stank of smoke so badly we had to wash everything once we left. No free wifi. Grubby looking bath. Sewage smell by the restaurant and the staff seemed confused when I asked if there was...

The room was very noisy but clean and nice. It is within walking distance to the Pearl Market for great shopping or you could take a taxi. It may not be near the metro but this was part of a tour and trips to local attractions were organized from the hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of an organised tour and stayed in room 720. It is an 8 storey hotel with functional rooms that were reasonably clean (apart from the carpet). My room was warm but others in my group complained of rooms that were very cold. We complained to reception who said they would provide...

Was quite a distance from the metro. I was with a tour that ended & had booked an extra night. It took a LOT of convincing for them to honor the extra night despite my reservation in hand. Finally after asking the manager why they wouldn't honor it & showing the date I made the reservation, they said I could...

The location of this hotel is actually quite good, in that it is a pleasant one with a good selection of restaurants. It feels very safe and friendly And yes it is also convenient for the Temple of Heaven as well as a theatre which shows acrobatics and chinese theatre. But the downside is definitely that it is long walk...

Perfectly adequate for staying in the capital city, clean, comfortable, good choice of breakfast, but poor links to public transport. Close to the Temple of Heaven and about 30 mins walk to the Pearl Market (great for those souveniers!). £15 for a taxi to the airport.
