Great location for university, B'Hai park and forbidden city. Rooms are clean and spacious with good shower and AC. Beds are a bit hard for my liking, but that's personal taste. Chinese buffet breakfast. Would be 4 stars but for internet access, which was essential for my business trip. This is via Ethernet cable only in the room (don't forget... More

Jintai Hotel is located at a busy street in the middle of Beijing, with metro stations, a range of Hutongs and the Hou Hai lakes, with a large number of bars and restaurants. The hotel offers relatively clean rooms, although the plumbing could do with some improvements. The atmosphere is friendly although not too attentive. The hotel offers a large... More

This hotel was chosen because it gives discount for Beijing University and is close to it location. Indeed, location is about the best one can say about this place - it is walking distance to Beijing Medical school, Hutongs, subway, and the Qinghai lake area. The hotel has no lobby to meet and sit - one has to go to... More

When I travel to exotic destinations, I like to experience the local culture as fully as possible. I avoid all things Western, for example, when in China and Japan. One exception is lodging - I don't want to give up the comforts of modern American comfort for sleeping and bathing. This hotel bills itself as 4-stars, and the building itself... More

Hosts booked me in 3 times during my trip back and forth to Beijing: Not very clean rooms; bathrooms mouldy. Poor food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Beds - The hardest surface I have slept on that isnt a floor! One wing butts onto a cement works, which, given the huge building expansion in Beijing, is very noisy throughout... More
