Stayed here with 8 friends for the last 3 nights of our trip to China. We were allocated the 'Traditional Chinese Style' rooms - these are tiny rooms with traditional Chinese furniture, artwork, fittings etc. These rooms look out onto a Chinese themed courtyard which was probably once nice but now just features a broken fountain and a few small...

The Redwall hotel is simple, but good for the price. It is practically next to the Forbidden city and on a 5 minute walk from Jingshan park (which is amazing to visit early in the morning). The subway is about 10 to 15minutes away and I recommend any tourist to get a week-pass or so as their subway system is...

Location is a little run down but convenient to the Forbidden City and national art museum, which by the way is free of charge. Our deluxe room on the first floor was comfortable and modern. We had a slow sink drain, but staff fixed it immediately. We had looked at one of the rooms in the older wing , but...

I don't often write reviews but I really felt the need to tell everyone about my experience in this hotel. It was really the worst hotel I have ever stayed in from a services perspective. We booked a twin superior room. While the room was quite large it had a mock window, a leaky and quite weird 'pod' shower that...

I've stayed at this hotel twice, in May 2014 and May 2015, both times with groups of college students. This hotel is in a great location, minutes away from the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Road. There is a subway station down the road about 10-15 minutes walking distance, so it's easy to connect to other parts of Beijing. If you...

I visited Beijing on 24 April 2015 for 2 nights. This hotel was recommended to me by my colleague. Below is what I'd like to tell people about it: Price: I believe the rates fluctuate like any other tourist destination depending on the season. We were 3 people and got a room at 480 Yuans per night. -- They arranged...

We arrived past 0100 for check-in, fresh from a long wait at a taxi rank and getting dropped off around 200m from the actual hotel entrance. Charged for the full 3 nights of our stay, plus deposit which was slighly annoying, although the room seems ok. Bathroom is not very nice and water goes all over the floor as the...

We arrived early hour of the morning due to Catay pacific delay with their flight. Person on duty was rude and made no effort to welcome us. Breakfast room was shabby - plastic cups for tea and not equipped for Westerners. English hardly spoken. I doubt i wouldl go back.

We stayed here for a week last July. We arrived late at night after a long flight. Upon entering the room we knew we had made a mistake in booking this place. The walls were dirty with scuff marks. The carpet was old, smelly and full of stains. We just wanted to put our head down after our flight but...

The location of this hotel is close to the Forbidden City, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the closest subway station. The room was okay- fairly basic, but clean. We did read in the hotel handbook that a male and female cannot stay in the same room unless married or family..this is fairly common for Asia, but was not...
