Not very fancy in any way, but convenient near Xizhimen and Zoo. Good when you have business in western and northwestern parts of Beijing (Xizhimen, ministries in Baiwanzhuang, Qinghua and Beijing Universities, Wudaokou, Summer Palace etc) due to its convenient metro connections (line 2, 4 and 13). Less good if you need to travel to the east side of town...

It was freezin'-butt cold outside, but the hotel heat was very good. I even had to turn it down because it was too hot. Walking distance from big shopping mall (big block to the east) and North Railway Station. More general business district one block north (over the walk bridge over the canal) with banks and restaurants, too. Exhibition Centre...

Had stayed in January this year for an event and the hotel was chosen by the organizer. I got a small room which is basically clean, but the lighting is a bit poor for me. There’s a nice view out of the window. Had tried the restaurant nearby that serves some western dishes in family style, the food tastes okay...

The nice feature of this hotel is the canal ferry at the back that takes you to the Summer Palace. Other than that, I don't find the location very convenient. The Metro is quite far away. The rooms are average and the breakfast (I enjoy Chinese breakfast) is mediocre. Price is okay.

We stayed here for 3 nights in total on 2 separate occasions. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel is a good distance from the hectic city but is well placed for transport. As we were travelling as a group we didn't have much contact with the staff at this hotel. The breakfasts had plenty of choice with fresh fruit,...

I can only echo the comments of the previous reviewer. There is no excuse for a hotel that is careless about its customers. The key is to make your clients feel like valued and honoured guests, not commodities. Then there is the hotel itself. Why are the rooms so scuffed and tatty? Why do the carpets in the rooms reek...

My party of seven arrived renting out 6 rooms. All of us individually complained about the extremely bad smell of sewage as we entered our rooms. Some of us were given other rooms but the problem remained on the 2nd, 4th and 7th floors of the hotel. One of our party who is black had a housekeeper refuse to clean...

Although this hotel is centrally located, the rooms were old and ragged... The air quality was terrible, the beds rock hard and the pillows hard as well. I would rate this hotel 2 stars at best.

This was my second visit to this hotel. I again brought a group of teenage students and staff but we were the only Westerners there - same as 2 years ago. The rooms are good quality. Beds are hard but this is typical of the beds in China. Plenty of hot water in the showers but NO hairdryers in the...

I took a school trip with 44 of us to China for Easter. This was the hotel we stayed in for the first 2 nights. The standard of the hotel met with my expectations of a 3 star hotel. The rooms were pleasant and clean. Some rooms had nice views over the nearby park. The staff at the hotel were...
