I booked this hotel mainly for its proximity to my meeting location and its low price. It's in the same price range as the Shangri-la Zizuyuan buy about 1/2 the price of Westin or Intercontinental nearby. Of the rooms (except suites) are standard rooms or executive floor rooms. Don't bother with the latter: they are 1/3 more expensive but identical... More

I'd stayed here for 12 night. In parts, the hotel actually looks a bit dated and a tad worn out. The staff are helpful, courteous and while they do speak English, it's not very fluent but good enough for you to get your message through. However, most of them seem very keen to improve their English and do their best... More

This hotel is only worth booking if you want a central location and can get a good price. I liked the fact that it was near the Forbidden City etc and Olympic stadium and also good shopping. The hotel itself was once grand but has various defects in its old age. My bathroom had black mould and a leaking sink... More

The plus is the hotel located in a convenient location: near shopping, not far from historic visit points, near financial center. Price is in line with its service and room quality, meaning that at average level and if you do not highly expect, you will return next times. The minus are their staffs do not speak English and it is... More

Very lovely hotel. Rooms were very clean. Would recommend. I stayed there for about three nights and then went onto another city. The food is lovely. Friendly staff. As i am not much into meat, there was always a wide variety of fresh fruits available.

We stayed in a 10th floor room for 10 days. This was one of the higher level rooms with private check in service on the 9th floor. Hotel fronts on Chang'an Avenue, the main ave that runs east-west in front of The Forbidden City. We opted for a room that faced away from the avenue and found the room very... More

I stayed at this hotel closed to seven times in the past 10 years when I visit Beijing. The most recent stay was three nights in early June 2011. This hotel was a popular choice when Chinese officials host overseas guests. It could have been state-own in the past, thus the counter service reflects relatively of that level, the service...
