This place is not on most people's list when they visit Beijing, as it is surrounded by top class 5 star hotels. Do not underestimate the traders hotel though. True that the building is not the most impressive, those buildings around it are all new and flashy. A very good 4 star hotel, with everything you need for a short...

This hotel, although claimed to be run by Shangri-la Group, has nothing to compare with the Shangri-la Group. Staff service attitude was bad and not helpful at all. We were charged for the night even though we arrived the next day due to the flight delay. On top of that, they charged me additional RMB100 for my minor daughter staying...

We spent four nights at this hotel in June while on a tour. The exterior of the hotel is unremarkable but the lobby and rooms are nicely decorated and immaculately clean. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and many of them spoke English. The breakfast area was large and attractive. The food was excellent with an amazing selection...

I stayed at this central business hotel for 3 nights. It's one of the oldest business hotels in Beijing and is bolted onto a new shopping mall. The rooms were good and the service was excellent. It's obviously a popular tourist hotel so there was a wide range of guests from sports teams to tourists to business travellers. Breakfast was...

I stayed here for one night and unfortunately I was booked into a central hotel rather than close to the airport. I was in peak traffic at around 5.30 pm and it took about 75 min by taxi to reach the hotel. Booking in was fast, what services I used was prompt and efficient. The room was reasonable, minibar was...

Stayed there during my first visit to Beijing, booked this hotel on a recommendations ... first look of the hotel was a bit disappointing as this was not tall enough as compare to the other skyscrapers around, and frankly the outside looked a bit old... however as soon as I entered, it was a different experience.. excellent lobby, neat &...

Stayed here 6/2/12 - 6/7/12 and it was nothing special. The lobby was decent, the complimentary breakfast was good, and the location was nice and only a 10-minute walk to the Silk Market, but the room itself was only acceptable. I had just come from Shanghai and Xi'an, and this was my least favorite hotel to stay in. The bed...

Well connected via road and via subway trains..located in the central business district in Beijing..well maintained hotel and staff were somewhat more familiar with English..I am veg and always find it difficult to eat but the hotel had some special dishes for the veg..enjoyed especially a couple of dishes. Room was average but neat.

Traveling for business, I let the people who knew Beijing best choose the hotel. These folks had stayed or made reservations for others at Trader's (not to be confused with another Trader's and another Shangri-La hotel on the other side of town) and said it was good for the price. I went along. After a long flight and then traffic...
