I booked a triple room - 3 single beds. A private bathroom in the room. Hot water worked accordingly. Yay! Since it started to get colder - between autumn and winter. They let us checked in early without any extra payment. The male staff was not really friendly in answering our questions or even when we requested for iron or...

Hostel is a bit pricey considering the amenities it has (wifi was bad, bathrooms were in bad condition, hot water not always working, rooms felt constantly cold). The reception staff were largely disinterested, verging on rude (nothing to so with the language barrier either) though the cleaning ladies (who always seemed to be there) were friendly and always greeted us...

Various members of my family have been staying at this hotel for 10 years or so. We arrived to discover that it has changed ownership and is now a hostel. We didn't view the dorm area but our room was pretty much as before, with new mattress toppers and clean white bedding. We had a choice of two rooms and...

I'd have never choose to stay here had I known before how it was. The dorm room was unbearably cold, with a broken air-conditioning as the only heating, and it was turning itself off at random moments, when you needed to press a button to restart it. Was getting especially unbearably cold at night, even though I was sleeping in...

I travel a lot and I am acustomed to cheap hostels with just the basics.I stay in this hostel 7 nights in two different rooms, however this was a big disapointment and unpleasant experience. The rooms were in bad condition, tiles broken, patches of plaster in the walls fallen or rotted, lamp broken. The bathroom in horrible conditions, shower water runing...

Which I did! It's a perfectly located hostel in an old "hutong", very near the center (Tiananmen square) with a great covered patio, well priced, a fridge and free Wi-Fi. What more could you ask for? I loved it. Of course, it's not a 5* hotel, it has its issues: nobody cleans the rooms or makes the beds while you're...

I spent time in 2 different rooms as I went and spent a night at the Great Wall in between. Rooms are quite basic but ok. The twin room 110 (Double) was much nicer than the first room I was in 103, a double. The great thing about this place is the courtyard where I got to meet some amazing...

Perfect location in the heart of Beijing, at the end of a very touristy pedestrian walk, therefore surrounded by cheap and good local restaurants. Please try the dumplings just across of the hotel. Double bedroom was basic but had a good bed and a spacious bathroom with hot water. All rooms are surrounding an open air patio, beautiful! And surprisingly...
