First visit to China with the family. Upgraded to larger suite , accommodation was just off the charts easily the nicest room I've stayed in and simply enormous. Service was very attentive if maybe lacking a smile or some more charisma , but I think thats just a Beijing thing. Some of the service staff were top quality / world...

I am sad to say we (traveling with two others) were very disappointed with our Aman Summer Palace experience. While the grounds are pleasant I was not blown away but rather put off by the silence and grey scheme. The major disappointment was the spa. The experience bordered on humorous. We understand a language gap and were ready to work...

I have visited well over a dozen luxury hotels (Four Seasons, LHW, Ritz-Carlton, SLH, Sofitel Legend, etc.) throughout the world this past year and Aman Summer Palace is among my favorites. My mother and I took a trip to China to celebrate her birthday, at the end of October. After reading a Condé Nast Traveler article about designer Michael Kors’...

We spent a month in China and were able to compare the Aman with the Six Senses in Chengdu and Angsana in Xi'An. In our experience the Aman was some way behind the other two. Not that it isn't good, but it isn;t as good as the others.... The buildings are part of the Summer Palace and are exquisite. The...

We stayed at the Aman Summer Palace just before Xmas. It was an amazing hotel and the staff were wonderful as you might expect of this hotel group. ONE MAJOR ISSUE: Due to an error they owe us a refund of over £1000. It was a genuine mistake and when we checked out were assured everything had been sorted out...

On returning to Beijing after a trip north, my daughter and I spent two marvellous days at the Aman Summer Palace. We were greeted on arrival at this impressive hotel with a welcome drink and sat comfortably whilst the check in routine was completed. Suitcases were taken to our room for us and we were shown to our spacious traditional...

Delicious, elegant and timeless high tea in a salon close to the garden. Tasty cakes and sandwiches with a twist of the classics very nice. Call to book a table or just hope you are lucky. Nice to combine with your visit to the Summer Palace.

This resort was actually part of the Summer Palace where royal ambassadors and guests would stay. Aman has restored the grounds and buildings with such care and sensitivity. As a guest I felt like I too was treated as a guest of royalty. While historic and like a time capsule, it has all great amenities of modern life. The early...

Think no further than the Aman Summer Palace for your stay in Beijing. It is simply amazing! The property is so beautiful and the staff is nothing short of superb. They sought to make our stay a most memorable one. No attention to detail was too small. We cannot recommend the Aman Summer Palace enough. Don't bother looking at other...

I have been to many Aman properties around the world and fall in love with the hotel group. However, this one is definitely below the Aman standard. It cannot even attain the standard of service of Aman Tokyo. I came there for afternoon tea once and there were around 50 people squeezed in a tiny living room about 100 Meter...
