Really helpful staff. Comfy bed and pillow. Location is great, only 10 minutes walking to subway station. Plenty of places to dine. There is a halal food resto just around the corner (approx.200 m). You could also book a local tour here to go to the Great Wall with reasonable price. They also sell a quite various tea for souvenirs....

We found the hotel very nice. A bit expensive for what you get but we guessed that is market dynamics. Very friendly staff that is extremely helpful with any request. Always a smile and a quick answer to any question we had. We found the breakfast great. Yes it is 20 minutes (walking) from the Forbidden City but when walking...

Let's be honest, Beijing is difficult city. My wife found this hotel online, and booked it. We arrived on CNY. From the airport, take a taxi, it is only about 60 RMB. Do not take the subway, because the station is too far from the hotel. Definitely do not let one of the travel companies book for you--it will be...

Thank's for giving our family a nice place to live on our vacation in the exciting city of Beijing! The staff at the hotel were lovely and helpful and we had no problems at all. All of them speak English. We had chosen this hotel because of the authentic, chinese style, and we don't were disappointed. The location of the...

Xiao Yuan is a converted traditional house with a lot of traditional features architecture, decorations, furnishing, a central courtyard and even a fish pool. This make the hotel really charming. The beds were very comfortable, nice and firm. The blankets were excellent for the cold December nights, although the heaters worked well too. The toilets were modern and in the...

Perfect location as it was a 20 min walk from the forbidden city and within walking distance from a lot of the sites. The hotel itself was clean and we loved every minute of it, we asked for some Chinese tea and it was the best tea we'd had! We are at the little cafe next door which was really...

The hotel and room itself were good; however, the bathroom situation was not. I stayed here 5 nights. I believe I was in room 206, and I can't say for the other rooms, but the bathroom was mildew-y and moldy. It was one of those showers where only half of the shower has a glass separation to the rest of...

This hotel is an excellent hotel. The way the rooms are set out around a courtyard helps give the whole hotel a lot of character. The rooms themselves are a good size and contain all the use amenities you would expect, they are clean and comfortable. They best part of the room is the large 4 poster bed which was...

Its quite an expensive place for what you get, really: decent room with a very small bathroom. My wife and I stayed 5 nights. Beijing is massive, so you are only relatively close to the central attractions - Forbidden City is a good 35-40 minute walk, the subway system is only a five minute walk away. The hotel itself is...
