I was not here for the hostel, but rather for the cafe. Visited the cafe twice during my stay in Beijing. Loved the beautiful decor, the ambience, and the good coffees. Would love to stay at the hostel if given the opportunity!

This place is lovely - the decor is fantastic and the space offers a welcome respite from busy Nanluoguxiang. It honestly felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Peking Hostel also has a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the busy neighborhood. Only negatives are the cafe food - low-quality, but expensive Western food and poor service - and the neighborhood....

This place is a charming hideaway in the middle of the houtongs tourist area, you would never know it was there which makes it hard to find, It would have been helpful if we had known that the subway arrives close by(still need to walk through the houtong area to get to the hostel), rather than having to haggle with...

I stayed at an 8 bed room and everything was amazing. The staff was quite friendly and helpful, they even helped me carry my luggage across the stairs. As the other reviews say, it is in a very busy neighborhood but I found that I was very appealing and full of things to do. In overall, it is a great...

I stayed 4 nights at the Peking International Youth Hostel. The Hostel is very well located close to a subway station and main road with frequent busses and taxis. It is in a happening location with loads of restaurants and boutique shops which throngs of Chinese tourists and young adults head to for date night. The Hostel is very clean...

My partner and i stayed and soon realised this was more of a hotel. it was very nice and still very basic. The cafe downstairs/rooftop was done really well. The location was pefect close ton train and buses and to get around from there was perfect. The 2 HUGE things that really anooyed us was there was NO hot water...

We stayed here a couple nights in a room with two twin beds. The staff was very sweet and friendly, and really went out of their way to help us. The room was clean, the shower nice. My only complaint is that for $80/night, they could have at least given us a bar of soap. Instead, they have a sign...

Postive: - friendly staff, speaks good English - Nice cosy bar - short distance from metro - good location - Very good coffee & capucino - good breakfast Negative: - very hard bed - overpriced - toilets get stuck over and over again (but they fixed it) - don't eat the pizza it was hardly cooked and not tasty

Probably the best (and definitely the most floral) hostel we stayed in during a month in China. A bit pricier than some places, but it was a pleasure to stay there and the staff were very helpful. The location is great, in the heart of buzzing Nanluoguxiang.

The place is ok, the decor is ok (but far from chinese-inspired), the staff is helpful and the location close by Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City is just perfect, but the price of a room and the prices in the on location cafe is just too high.

A lively hostel! If you like to be surrounded by flowers, and if you like to feel like home when you travel, this is the right place for you!Peking International Youth Hostel is situated at the most charming and popular Hutong Conservative District in Beijing - the south of Nanluoguxiang. It is located near the very heart of the city, in the Dongcheng District. The alley's north end is enclosed by Gulou and Zhonglou. A little south-west at the end of the alley, is the middle axis of Beijing where the Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City and the Tiananmen Square sits along. The gorgeous night time attraction sites, Houhai, Qianhai and Shishahai is just to the west of the alley, in a distance that should take you around only 10 to 15 minutes walk through Yu'er Hutong. ... more   less
