Typically I would pick a nice hotel when traveling with senior parents. But this time I picked Hutongren. Part of the reason was many online reviews say a lot of good things about it. Another reason is that it really sits in a nice location with easy access to everything. Most of all, it located in the heart of old...

I stayed in the "Sky Heart" room on my first stay in Beijing and at Hutongren. This is a gem of a hotel - beautiful, clean, stylish, great location, fast wireless internet in the room, really plush towels and a soft bed, really friendly and helpful staff, and so reasonably priced. The only problems were that the bathroom in the...

The location is among the most populous cultural street Na Luo Gu Xiang. You can easily find good food, fashion clothes and traditional crafts all around where you live. The housing is newly decorated and very clean. If you have an interest in design, it's mostly recommended to check on the details of this little courtyard house. The best part...

Unique experience, kind hoteliers, peaceful urban oasis. This hotel can arrange for trips to Great Wall and bicycle tours, pre-book taxi pick up early. Staff is great! Loved the breakfast options and the shopping and bars were fun. Ask for restaurant recommendations. Next trip I'll find out about the bell tower performance!

I am going to forever be comparing other hotels to the Hutong Ren. In an ideal location to explore the city, it is set off one of the best hutongs in town, which is full of bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms are very comfortable with the 'China meets Ikea' look and real silk sheets on the bed mean they...

This was our first stop on our first ever China trip and the staff at Hutongren bent over backwards to help us with our trip planning and organising day trips etc (including an amazing Great Wall experience that most tourists would never get! They also helped book onwards train tickets and gave recommendations to visit some parts of China that...

Great place to stay! A lot of bars and shops in the area. Not too far away from the subway. (10-15 minutes walk) Clean and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Actually the staff helped the overall rating a lot. You can always get a good advice from them and the very precious destinations written in Chinese. :) You can...

We had fantastic days in Beijing, in Hutongreen Contryard. Great Hutong Experience in great location! It is inside a corner of Nanluoguxiang street, a walk street in Beijing in the middle of hutong area, with a lot of shops, bars and cafes. A great street for young people. And it is near the main sightseens, easy to go by bicicle...

This is a wonderflu place for those who like the HuTong culture and don't want to suffer the long transport from their hotel. I like this some inn very much, especially the roof area. You can have breakfast under a big tree, while all those old HuTong roofs are just beside you, decorated by the sunlight throw the leafs. Without...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled in a very small, easily-overlooked side alley north of storied Xiao Ju’er Hutong, this charming little tea-theme hotel offers a quiet, well-lit retreat from the bustle of the middle of everything. A handful of rooms-double from RMB 600 and single from RMB 480 – surround a stone-floored atrium filled with plants, natural light, books in various languages, wi-fi and a small bar. All rooms are equipped with super comfortable King Koil Mattresses, traditional furniture, air conditioners and under-ground heating. You will be warmly welcomed by the lovely staff and little Blackie. The unique Chinese Tea experience (free Tea classes are given everyday by reservation in advance), relative peace and quiet you’ll find here after a long day is worth it. ... more   less
