Its just inside the 6 ring roads of Beijing which is still a distance from most places. Beijing is huge. We had large comfy beds and a gorgeous spa bath with mineral salts which is fabulous after long days sightseeing. The rain shower head needed attention, many blocked water holes. A restaurant on site and a few within easy walking distance. Breakfast is a short walk from the accommodation and I was pleased not to have to contend with rain, it was busy and plentiful and as per lots of previous comments they need a fix for the queues at the coffee machine. I didn't partake of the bar but it looked comfortable.

This was our first resort in Beijing and it was truly beautiful. Our room had an amazingly large spa on the verandah. The bed was a great size and very comfortable. There was a bit of a walk to breakfast though. Food was good, great selection.

This is a relatively nice hotel with a few great features- some very pretty landscaping and an impressive entryway into the dining area. The buffet in the mornings were expansive, but most of the food was okay, not amazing. The other food options for evenings were limited, although I think the buffet re-opened for lunch/dinner. It was passable for a free breakfast, but I would not have payed for the buffet. There was a Chinese restaurant that was open late and okay, but not great, and a bar that served overpriced and small dishes that was barely worth it. Lots of selections of beer for those who like to indulge, though. The worst part was that there was NO regular coffee available for breakfast in the mornings and a few slow coffee drink machines for espresso, etc., that seemed to be always malfunctioning with long lines and then almost undrinkable coffee substances that came sputtering out. This hotel just needs to find another way to provide ample coffee in the mornings, since the long line and muddy muck that came out of the few cranky little machines did not supply nearly enough, or the right kind and quality of coffee, to the volumes of breakfast clientele arriving and needing their morning fix. This left everyone a little on edge and it was stressful to get on a line for coffee, only to find that you'd picked the line that had another malfunctioning machine and had to get on another long line to get a few drips of thick bitter mud. In a rush in the morning before a tour, if you wanted coffee, you could spend easily half your breakfast time in this unsatisfactory manner, only leaving you wishing you hadn't bothered. I would have given the hotel a lower rating for the lack of drinkable, readily available regular coffee alone, except that the hot spring bathtub in the room was such a delight! Beijing was frigidly cold when we were there in November, and being able to soak in a tub that fills up quickly and silently with perfectly hot temperature water every night made this hotel worth it, even with the failed coffee enterprise.

The reason why I rate it "Average" is because even though the outside and nearby buildings look very modern, the actual rooms seemed a little bit old, I was very close to rating it "Very Good" because of the amazing indoor jacuzzi room, it made our two night stay very pleasant. Our friends also mentioned they had a mice in their room. I stayed here because I visited China for 10 days on a government-sponsored trip. You can find this deal in the UTO Vacation website, a 10 day Buster deal. Food-wise, we went to a Hot Pot restaurant that is at the front of the hotel, it was Good, we were just overwhelmed because we couldn't really communicate with the staff there, which no one is to blame. I heard by other fellow tour members the restaurant inside the hotel was actually VERY GOOD.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the hotel. It is very beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly, but didn’t speak English. The breakfast location was about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. They served mostly vegetable dishes, some meat, and not many western options. Hot tub in rooms is a great amenity. WiFi worked without problems. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with our room. The beds were so comfortable after a 14 hour flight. The spa in the room was also a surprise and much needed. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The variety of foods, fruits and breads were delightful. The staff was very helpful with our questions and translations.

I just came back from a 10 day group trip. We stayed here a couple nights. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The natural springs hot tub was a welcomed treat after the long flight and long days walking. It was quite cold in Beijing and it made it difficult to get the room to a comfortable temperature. Not many of the staff spoke English. We used google translate to communicate with them. We are at the restaurant in the lobby and the bbq on the campus. Both offered a few selections but were really good. The buffet for breakfast was ok. There was a variety of food and they were at the right temperature. There was a lot of beautiful art work all around. Definitely take some time to roam the campus.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a part of trip through agency. Its big complex, Rooms were clean and hotels itself is nice. They also have couple of restaurants in the building and we had couple of dinners in there and they were good. Every room has Hot spring tub, which was cool to have and internet was not existent in the room. Breakfast is in different building (like 2-3 min walk) and it was good with lots local and western options. As suggested by other users, its outside Beijing. We had free day on our own during our stay and we did manage to make it to downtown and back as below: 1) We called the Taxi to take us from Hotel to Tiananmen Square: Costed us 137 Yuan - It was peak time so lot of traffic 2) Once in beijing we bought the underground pass and traveled using that during the day. 3) For return, we took a subway 15 till Houshayu and then took a Taxi to hotel (35 Yuan from subway station to hotel) - bit dicey area after 8-9ish pm in my opinion, wouldnt do this way again. If i have to do it again, i'll take a taxi to Houshayu or Tiantongyuan North and take subway into beijing and take subway to Tiantongyuan North or any station before that on that line (not Houshayu) while coming back and taxi from there to Hotel. Only stayed at this hotel due to tour otherwise, its very much outside beijing main area.

I stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour so i didn't pick the hotel. The place is older and far away from things. You can walk ~10min to a bus stop or take a 15min taxi ride from a subway station. Either way it is 1.5hr away from Beijing city. As other have mentioned, the place is big and has to walk 5min to another building for breakfast. The housekeeping is nice, and the hot spring in room was cool The hot spring isn't too hot. as there isn't much restaurants around, we ate at the hotel two night in a roll.

Recent three night stay with a tour company. Our first night started at 3am due to very late flight arrival. No problems getting settled and room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Room temp was too warm but we were able to open the windows to help cool it off. Each room has a private balcony with a huge stone hot tub. Soaking was delicious and water temp very warm (if it is too hot for you let the tub sit for 30 minutes or so). Room was quiet with no problems from outside noise. Nice amenities like robes, slippers, etc. Breakfast was included and located in a building about 5 minutes walk away. Not an issue for us and the grounds are pretty and enjoyable for a walk. Breakfast is about 70% Chinese breakfast food - stir-fries, wonton soup, rice, noodles, etc. The food was very good but might be frustrating for people who want familiar American breakfast like pancakes and hash browns. HOW TO GET INTO TOWN: The hotel can call a taxi for you. Go to the Tiantongyuan North subway stop. This is the end of line 5 so you can only get on going in the direction of the city. There are self-service machines with English instructions to purchase tickets. It is very user friendly and there are volunteers in blue vests at every stop to help visitors. Download the Beijing subway app before your visit to help with navigation. There is plentiful signage in English. When you return there will be free-lance taxi to take you back to the hotel (you can negotiate price). Expect heavy traffic during rush hour. Taxi to subway was 50 RMB and back was 80 RMB during rush hour. (Roughly $10 USD).
