I stayed here last year August (2015). The staff was helpful. Breakfast simple yet sufficient. More or less clean place. Wifi works. Fair price for a short stay. Convenient location. Could walk to the old town and Fort Jesus. Will stay again.

I have stayed here on 3 occasions over a 10 year period and somehow they keep improving their service despite the decrepit crumbling state of the building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service great. Hotel restaurants great. Real coffee made good. Rooms are clean and everything functions but everything is rather dated. Best B and B stop in Mombasa. They... More

We slept ther one night. Everything was ok; clean, hot water, showers, a rich breakfast, friendly staff. Very good location; near the fort Jesus and the old town, restaurants,... For all this it was too cheap.

Cheap, clean, courteous, helpful, with free WiFi and a spacious 1st floor courtyard, breakfast included. Stayed here on a work trip and they did all we needed! Will no doubt be staying here next time I'm back in Mombasa for work

Cheap cosy place with friendly staff, wifi works but not that strong. Mind the price but don't expect much it was actually the cheapest place I found. Will do to spend few nights. That's it. Place gives some value for money. I need 200 symbols !

This hotel is more of a convenient place to sleep if you have business in the town, Next to most banks and its a walking distance. As for a holiday here forget about it. The hotel is next to the road so you are bound to wake up from the noise, was a great hotel in its time but as... More

The rooms are below average but value for money..... the best part is courteous and caring staff with the location..... its very near to fort jesus and opposite to ram mandir (hindu temple)................ even other places like famous restaurants and commercial establishments in down town are very much accessible through tuk tuk... I have just spent the past 5 nights at the New Palm Tree Hotel. I was here for a teacher workshop. The other hotels suggested were in the same area but much more expensive. I found the New Palm Tree Hotel to be a good, budget hotel for someone basically just needing a clean place to sleep. I found the... More

The staff is what sold us on the hotel, even if the rooms were a bit dirty and in need of maintenance. The price was good for Kenya and Mombasa, especially the location if you need to catch an early bus. This hotel could be a charmer!
