We liked the almost serene at,osphere in the conservatory. It made us feel good to be in a tented camp, environmentally good, without missing comfort and care. The staff is amazing - they really care. Our guide and driver Big John and John mac created a truly unforgettable wildlife experience. We saw incredible scenes with leopards, cheetas, lions, hyenas and... More

I visited Porini Lion Camp for 2 nights in July 2014, and loved it. Service excellent, guides superb, food and accommodation and camp management all first class. They go the extra mile to make you comfortable, and the wildlife is breathtaking - even for a hard-bitten Kenyan resident and gamespotter like me. It's a social place too, where you meet... More

I can't imagine a better way to do a safari than at a Porini camp. We stayed at the Lion Camp for two nights in early July, with two nights before that at Porini Amboseli - first time in Africa for us and our two teenagers (18 and 16). The standard of comfort provided at both camps was outstanding (it's... More

My husband and I have a new standard for all future trips -- Porini Perfection. We did 9 nights with Porini, starting with Nairobi Tented Camp, 2 nights at Amboseli, 2 nights and Rhino and 4 nights at Lion, in late June/early July. We love the conservancy/eco concept, the execution and the people. The welcome is genuine, the tents are... More

2 nights at Porini Lion Camp in early July with my cousins- by far the best Safari I have ever been on (out of more than a dozen). Extremely knowledgeable guides with a strong network and excellent spotting skills (leading us to the prime animals). General Manager and the entire staff are very hospitable, going out of their way to... More

We love Porini Lion Camp! We traveled to the camp with our three children (ages 13, 11, and 8) and were rewarded with sightings of lion, leopard, elephant, zebra, giraffe, cape buffalo, hyena, and wildebeest migrating on our way to the camp from the airstrip! The kids were so excited to go on the next game drive that they could... More

We stayed at the Porini Lion Camp for 2 nights in early July. We could not have asked for any more- the service we received was superb, from all the Lion camp staff. The accommodation was spacious and extremely comfortable, even hot water bottles in our bed on a cold night. The food was wholesome and enjoyable- Their soups are... More

We spent 3 nights in Porini Lion camp in first week of July 2014. The camp has a fantastic location with great views. We encountered lions and cheetahs within a distance of one km from the camp. The tents are spacious and done up very tastefully. The food was delicious and quality of service top class. Our Masaai guides were... More

What an exceptional time we had at Porini Lion camp! We felt totally pampered by the exceptional staff. From our personal wake-up call each morning (with coffee, tea, and cookies), to the exceptional food, to the nightly campfire, everything is well-run and well-organized. Even though there were six people in camp, we had our own safari truck. I imagine that... More

The Porini Lion Camp property is quite special. Each game drive has both a driver and a spotter, the meals and sundowners are exceptionally planned and presented. The special small touches make the whole stay really exceptional - from the hot water bottles to warm your feet in the beds, to the coffee on your porch in the morning, to... More
