We had an unbelievable four days/three nights at Porini Lion Camp. The staff were gracious hosts, the food was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable. Most importantly, we saw lots of wildlife including male and female lions, lion cubs, hippos in and out of water, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, and much more. Thanks to everyone for giving us...

We arrived just after the new year and it was very quiet - with just my wife and I for the first night. The tented camp was in a perfect location, mostly shaded overlooking a small stream. Our guides (Kiseme and Big John) were wonderful, very knowledgeable, they were able to find animals in the most amazing places. They were...

Spent Christmas at Porini Lion Camp and it was our greatest gift to each other. We are a family of three (our son is14) and we loved everything about our experience. The Masai made Christmas Eve and Christmas night special with singing and colorful decorations knowing we were spending our holiday with them. As you can see from all the...

As avid safari goers we've been to the Masai Mara several times, and stayed in numerous camps. We particularly like staying in the Olare Orok Motorogi Conservancy because of the high concentration of cats but like to observe them without the crowds of the reserve (although vehicle numbers are low in the reserve Nov anyway). On this recent holiday we...

The tented camp was comfortable but not over the top.Our guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. They really knew the territory and gave us astounding animal viewing opportunities. This was a small camp, and not a massive tour group experience which made it feel more personal.Everyone was friendly and genuinely welcoming. I really appreciate the camp eco conservation and the conservancy mission.

This was my fourth visit to Porini Lion in 5 years, and the longest stop on the safari I planned for me and my parents this year. Lets get the obvious out of the way, this is an eco camp run on the local communities terms. If you want swimming pools and extravagant luxury, go to one of the mass...

Porini Lion Camp is located in the heart of the conservancy, with a river running just behind it. We were assigned a camp right at the edge of camp, and with no boundary wall or fence separating us from the savannah, we could literally do game watching sitting in the tent itself. Hippos and wild buffalo wandering through the camp...

We spent 2 nights at Porini as part of 5 nights in the Mara. The conservancy is a different experience than the reserve and has some unique opportunities such as a morning walk for about 2 hours. Big John and Jacob were great and took us to see many different animals in the short time together. We spent an evening...
