Lions, lions, lions!!!! Saw 3 different prides of lions before 8 am. But that's not all!! Cheetah, leopard hippos etc etc. it was superb. The camp site is beautiful, situated on a river, the Masai staff are fantastic and the food was excellent. This place thoroughly deserves a 5 star rating

My wife and I had used Gamewatchers previously and knew what to expect. Julie Roggow, their U.S. Booking Agent, provides knowledgeable comments, suggestions, and detailed information on how to prepare for the trip. A person on their first safari would be made aware of everything they need to know.. Our visit to Porini Lion Camp was the best game viewing...

Porini Lion Camp sits in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the edge of the Masaai Mara. As such it directly benefits the community through fees and employment and benefits the guest as access is restricted to a regulated number of visitors. The result is more time at sightings and less pressure of vehicles. The conservancy is renowned for its population...

We spent the final couple of days of our week long safari at Porini Lion camp and it was simply perfect. On our final eve - mesheck and john-mark took us to a rocky outcrop on the side of a hill for our sundowners and I couldn't imagine a better place to sip on a G&T and watch the sunset...

We loved all the staff - they had such a personal touch with every aspect of our stay. The tents are so lovely, overlooking the mara where we could see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and antelope through the day (and night!). The food was delicious, the conversation thought provoking, and our time relaxing. The guides are very knowledgeable too! We look...

We had an unbelievable four days/three nights at Porini Lion Camp. The staff were gracious hosts, the food was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable. Most importantly, we saw lots of wildlife including male and female lions, lion cubs, hippos in and out of water, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, and much more. Thanks to everyone for giving us...

We arrived just after the new year and it was very quiet - with just my wife and I for the first night. The tented camp was in a perfect location, mostly shaded overlooking a small stream. Our guides (Kiseme and Big John) were wonderful, very knowledgeable, they were able to find animals in the most amazing places. They were...

Spent Christmas at Porini Lion Camp and it was our greatest gift to each other. We are a family of three (our son is14) and we loved everything about our experience. The Masai made Christmas Eve and Christmas night special with singing and colorful decorations knowing we were spending our holiday with them. As you can see from all the...

As avid safari goers we've been to the Masai Mara several times, and stayed in numerous camps. We particularly like staying in the Olare Orok Motorogi Conservancy because of the high concentration of cats but like to observe them without the crowds of the reserve (although vehicle numbers are low in the reserve Nov anyway). On this recent holiday we...
