Both are a couple of outstanding individuals with a tremendous amount of knowledge about the surrounding area, the animals, people and the various cultures. Enjoy gourmet meals, daily game drives in the Mara with truly expert guides then retire to your well oufitted tent and a very comfortable bed. I would give this camp/lodge five stars except for two unfortunate interruptions in the supply of running water, both of which were quickly fixed by the camp staff and supervisors. Leleshwa is a lovely place, with natural scenic beauty visible from your front-porch sitting area. It's an informal place, with superbly attentive staff and supervisors. The food is among the...

The staff here are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is excellent! We spent a day in the Masai Mara with very knowledgeable and friendly guides, it couldn't have been better. We did a Sundowner and a night drive, and the children in our group were entertained beautifully. This place is highly...

Leleshwa Camp was so beyond what we were expecting, and we had already been to two very nice lodges. From the moment we were picked up at the airstrip, we were living in a dream world. David, our guide, drove us to the Camp via a route with lots of game. Upon our arrival at the lodge, I was surprised...

My family stayed here in June, eight of us ranging in age from 4 to 70. We all had a great time and off all the places we stayed on the trip this was our favorite. Mhari, the camp host, was top notch, providing marshmallows in a variety of flavors to roast over the campfire. My niece declared her the...

Leleshwa Camp is wonderful! Excellent and imaginative meals, beautifully presented by well trained wait-staff (John really knows how to pour a glass of wine!); well-appointed tents; exciting safari excursions led by guide Thorburn Cattermole, a fun and informed guy and his spotter, Reeki. I expected Ernest Hemingway to walk into the lounge tent at any minute and ask for a...
