First experience of a safari... Short flight in to camp smooth and easy, amazing scenery en route, greeted by our guide Richard. Tent amazing and private, the bed was comfy, good storage, hot water plentiful. Excellent extra of having clothes washed and dried free of charge. The tent looks out onto the Mara river, hippos and an abundance of animals...

The answer is Yes, assuming the question is something like, should I book?, will I enjoy it? Is it worth it? Will I really see lots of animals? The answer is a definite yes. The camp is great, I don't do tents but you can hardly call this a tent, the bathroom is terrific, the bath is lovely, flushing toilet,...

We stayed here for 4 nights in October. We had a wonderful time. The camp is excellent. The tents are spacious and comfortable. Every night a hot water bottle was placed in the bed. We were very cosy and on occasion we drifted off to sleep to the sound of hippos munching grass outside. The food was excellent. Lunch was...

Beautiful camp nestled above the banks of the Mara River. The food was excellent. I've ben to a few camps before that emphasized European cooking which always bummed me out a bit. The chef here added some great curries and overall the food was top notch. The chef and his staff were friendly and had no issues with enduring endless...

Get ready to be up close and personal with some very large and wild animals. Governors camp is a ton of fun. There is nothing between you and the animals but some very reliable and attentive rangers who patrol the perimeters of the camp. At night, we were awoken by the sounds of hippos, elephants and buffalo grazing just outside...

As if the Masai Mara is not paradise enough, this little gem of a camp upholds the traditions of the Governor's establishments and then some more and improves on paradise. From the welcome received at the Governor's Aviation office at Wilson through to pick up from the air strip to arrival at the camp, the attention is superb. The facilities...

Having previously stayed at both Main Governor's and Little Governors, it was lovely to spend four nights at Il Moran. Like the other two Camps, the location is superb with lovely views of the Mara River and similarly unfenced. The food and service were great and our driver, Paul, found us everything except a rhino. We spent one morning game...

We just had an amazing few days here and did not want to leave. Couldn't believe the number of hippos in the river below the camp. They were quite noisy early in the morning but it all added to the experience. Our tent no 3 was huge and had a fab view of the river. It was especially nice lying...

The Governors' II Moran Camp is a delightful camp situated on the banks of the Mara River in a cool shady grove in the vast grassy plains of Masai Mara National Reserve , Kenya. The tented accommodation is high end, spacious and well appointed with large clean bath rooms with all the mod-cons one could wish for, better than many...

We stayed here for the safari part of our honeymoon and were not disappointed. Having stayed in the Masai Mara previously, this is one of the best camps I have stayed at. All of the staff were fantastic and added so much to the experience. We saw four of the big five (just missing a leopard). The game drives were...
