Could the Maasai be any nicer? I don't think so. Such a beautiful, natural place with staff who has only your welfare in mind. Our "tent" was luxurious with hardwood floors, two mahogany queen sized beds, desk, sitting area, lovely bathroom with a double sink and a waterfall shower. The game drive guide had eagle eyes and lead us on...

This inviting boutique style lodge with individual cabins (fashioned to look like tents) is on the top of the Oloololo Escarpment overlooking the vast Masai Mara National Reserve. Getting there from one of the local airstrips is easy to achieve as Mara Engai will send their specialized safari vehicle to get you on time. Be prepared to see many animals...

After weeks we are still thinking about this wonderful place. From the beginning it was a very warm welcome from the staff and the Masai's. We come as visitors and left like a family. The Mara Engai is on a hill so that you have a breathtaking view about the Masai Mara. It's a feeling you can't describe with words...

We loved Mara Engai! The room was huge and luxurious and the service was exceptional. We had staff devoted to us that served us at every meal and took care of anything we needed in our room. We had the same guide every day, Salim, who pulled out all the stops to make sure that we saw everything! We saw...

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I experienced the best service at Mara Engai! They are a small family & they made us feel apart of it! I still miss Chef Raju's food, his Egg Curry & Poussin Chips were scrumptious! (He has become famous in Nairobi). Moss, our waiter did everything he could to make...

The views from Mara Engai are delightful, the food and the environment will really make you forget about your daily life. The hotel is located on top of the hill and has the most incredible view of the Mara Plains. The whole Engai team was super friendly from the moment we arrived and did everything to make us feel at home and as part of their family. John - our tour guide was well educated on all the animals and the...

Location: We were blown away with the view when we started climbing the hill from the foot of the hill. The hotel has one of the most amazing locations in mara! you can see the plains in the horizon and the wildebeests marching down in a file! Room: The receptionist describes this as mini palaces, which is the best word...

We stayed at this lodge for 2 nights while visiting the Mara. Food and accommodations were fantastic. Most of the staff were very accommodating and do what they can in order for you to have a pleasant stay. The game drive vehicles that the lodge uses are great and so are the guides. There was some lack of communication which...
