This camp definitely looks like its on its last legs. Roughly constructed 20 years ago it doesn't look like it's seen much maintenance since. I'm generally okay with this and the camp is certainly one of the lower priced locations in the area. Just don't expect much in the way of luxury. On the plus side, the food was basic...

Definitely not luxurious, but definitely absolutely natural and beautiful in its simplicity. Everything is basic here, but natural and true. The wooden rooms are simply with twin beds equipped with mosquito nets. They are a bit gloomy, but for night rest absolutely sufficient. I have stayed at Riverside twice during safaris in Kenya, and I'm not going to lie, the rooms are not luxurious, they don't have aircon or fans and resemble huts more than hotels. The hot water only works when they light the fire and there were bees nesting in the wall of my room. However, this is what I love...
