Poor quality of accommodation. I stayed in a room infested with ticks and got bitten. We were moved to a torn tent. In two days the food was always the same (rice, vegetables, beef and chicken) Má qualidade do alojamento. fiquei em um quarto infestado com carraças e fui mordido. Fomos mudados para uma tenda rasgada. Em dois dias a comida foi sempre a mesma (arroz, legumes, vaca e galinha)
We stayed here for 4 nights. The front desk staff, specifically the woman up front was extremely rude. When we arrived they put us in a room with holes in The mosquito netting. We asked to change and the woman told us we could change the next day. When we returned early that day she lied to us and told us there was nothing open when we saw at least 10 open keys. She just didn’t want to change us. While we were talking to her she was making very judgmental faces at us and was extremely rude. We also never had our room cleaned. The towels were wet when we got there and they didn’t give us new towels while we were there. Wifi does not work! The only good thing about this place was the nice chef who was very accommodating and friendly.
This camp is definitely a must if you want to have the full safari experience. The tent is really fun but still comfortable with plenty of privacy and hot water. The staff are friendly and the food was very nice. Being in the heart of the Masai Mara was magical as we heard elephants at night and were surrounded by wild baboons which just enhanced our experience. Our only little niggle was that our bathroom wasn't as clean as we would have hoped and our bins were never emptied the 2 nights we were there. But these are minor things which wouldn't stop us coming back.
We had a lovely stay in Sentrim Mara in June. The tents were comfortable but did tend to get cold at night. The food was not varied but hot and tasty. They always had guards patrolling the paths leading from the restaurant to the tents at night and that felt safe. The only reason to give it one less star was the management policy of providing just one bottle of drinking water per room, with no option of refilling our bottles. The three of us were supposed to share that and buy whatever we needed beyond that at outrageous prices. But since we had already experienced this the hard way in the Sentrim Amboseli property, we were prepared and stocked up on enough water prior to reaching the lodge. The management really need to reconsider this policy - water is a basic need and not providing it leaves one with a sour taste.…
I was been with my group for the third time but that was been the worse visit even I have been Kenya. The lodge looks sad , I was been on 2014, 2018 and 2019 but now it has dramatically bad condition, the rooms and the lodge overall often lack electricity, especially on rainy days. The hotel does not have a generator, it is a shame. The selection of food was extremely small. In the room the toilet flush sustem was broken, water flood to the floor, a lot of things room was missing, coffee, sugar, the one bottle made of glass was for 2 people. Internet under every criticism, it was not even in the reception and restaurant. We was very frustrated and never come back there.
Tents are very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Be careful electricity works just few hours per day. The swimming pool is just great, only bad point is the WiFi is only at the reception and little bit in the restaurant and not the best quality. The food is correct!
The tented rooms are in a very pretty setting. Deborah in reception works exceptionally hard to keep all the guests happy. The dining room area is the hub where everything happens and the kitchen staff are exemplary. There are guards to escort visitors to and from their rooms. The staff are incredibly honest. I left my iPad behind and received a message that it would be sent to Nairobi. I was successfully reunited with my iPad in the transit lounge! My grateful thanks to the person cleaning the room who was honest enough to hand it in and the chain of people thereafter.
This was my first stay at Sentrim even though I have been to Mara many times. Located in the park close to Sekanani gate, the experience was amazing. I love staying at Sentrim Hotels. Their food was great and service was excellent. Even the tented rooms were clean and very comfy. A definite recommendation!!!
Great low cost accommodation just inside the Masai Mara gates and very near a Masai Mara camp. There are some amazing game drives with a short drive, including all the big five and many more animals - particularly predators. The tented accommodations are basic but adequate and clean and tidy. Guest security is well managed Staff are attentive and friendly and food is basic but well prepared and tasty. The bar staff, waiters and all employers are helpful and engaging. If you are trying to do the Mara on a b
We were a group of 5 staying here 2 nights. The service far exceeded expectations We felt safe and taken care of. However, generally the accommodations were worn and needed upgrading. Since we were the ONLY guests there for the first night, the lunch and dinner we were served our meal rather than the usual buffet style. Despite this personal attention, several dishes were basically inedible (as in tough and chewy). Desserts were always a surprise... some tasteless, some great. The expectation of great Kenyan Coffee was not met, instead we were offered lukewarm warm water which we had to add Sanka, chocolate, etc. to.
