The Mara Olapa camp, situated inside the Maasai Mara Reserve is conveniently nestled near Kaboso Crossing, Double Cross and the Marshes of Musiara. Our unique location is highly conducive to sightings of our resident leopards and lions and often, within 10 minutes of leaving camp, you could be sitting with a pride of lions or the elusive leopard. Mara Olapa camp is unfenced, giving the small plains game the freedom of movement within the camp. We do however take our client safety very seriously and have Maasai Moran guards at hand throughout during the day and night. The camp consists of six luxurious ensuite safari tents, tastefully decorated in African themed decor, large comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton whites, a private verandah and a fully functional bathroom with a safari style shower and flushing toilet. All tents are strategically constructed under tree shade providing stunning views and avoiding excessive heat build-up during the day. The layout of the Camp is such that each tent has a private feel to it. Futhermore, We also have a very spacious family tent consisting of two ensuite rooms and a lounge available for families visiting the camp. For Game drives the camp has specially adapted open Land Cruisers, which are higher than standard and equipped with several features allowing the optimum game viewing experience. Our guides and drivers are highly trained with the flora and fauna of Maasai Mara. Their enthusiasm for spotting and viewing game is very infectious! We guarantee a once in a lifetime experience at Mara Olapa camp and rest assured, you will immediately be planning to be back soon!

Property's Favourite Review
The Mara Olapa camp is one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed in our world travels. The location is perfect and you are literally on top of the animals! During the day you’ll see zebras and elephant roaming by your camp and at night after dinner, you can hear the resident lions roar! The rooms are spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. They feel like a luxury hotel room in a very remote location. There’s even toilets, running water and hot showers. What makes the camp truly special is the staff. The general manager Eric is extremely accommodating, professional, friendly and well organized. The waitresses like Clara are very sweet and the head chef Tony is unbelievable! Everyone treats you like family and it creates a very special atmosphere. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing place! If booking a safari in the Mara look no further than Mara Olapa!

I arrived at Mara Olapa after almost 3 weeks in Kenya and after having stayed at different lodges and camps across 3 parks and this was by far the best experience. Everything is prepared to make the stay as pleasant as possible and all staff is incredibly kind, warm and caring. The food is simply amazing, the rooms are extra comfortable and beautiful, the lounge and the restaurant are thoughtfully decorated and welcoming. From the perspective of someone who stays at Mara Olapa to photograph the wildlife, one single thing could be improved, and that is the internet connection. A stronger signal would make it easier to edit and share photos. I truly look forward to my next visit and highly recommend staying at Mara Olapa to whoever desires to experience the Park in a very peaceful and respectful way, far from the touristy and noisy atmosphere most places seem incapable to avoid. 🙏🏽🇰🇪💜

This is a really nice and cozy place. The food was pretty good and they had great sweet service. It was nice with the animals that came close to the camp ( we saw elephants really closely from our tent!).

Olapa is one of the best camps I’ve stayed at in the Mara. It is an eco friendly camp in a beautiful location, tucked away into the bushes. All the staff are so helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Tents are very well maintained and clean. The food is by far the best I’ve had in the Mara and the chef can make anything you request. I would highly recommend staying at Olapa when visiting the Mara and I will definitely be returning many times in the future!
