We spent 6 days here with a very flexible itinerary, Nelson accomodated everything we had in mind. We were picked up in Nairobi, had a comfortable trip out to the Mara, and enjoyed excellent and friendly service, delicious food, and fantastic activities. During our game drives we saw lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, hippo, elephant, etc, etc. It was wonderful. we...

I booked in august a two nights stay for the beginning of October, through our safari travel agency, who paid in advance $ 200 for our stay. I wanted to stay at Oldarpoi, I was there before other two times, simply feeling home and friends with the owners. Unfortunately when I got there, tired in the evening, after a long...

First, we regret that the guest had a negative experience, even though this was not intended to be. This particular guest has visited the camp several times in the past and even previously gave it an excellent review on TripAdvisor. We are concerned with such a harsh review from a person whom we consider to be a friend. our camp...

There is really no other way to describe it – we’re certain that Nelson and his wife, Maggie, run the most serene, natural, rustic, friendly camp in all of the Mara! We were on our honeymoon and this is exactly what we were looking for – a genuine, unique experience with culture and safari. We were the first to stay...

Nelson has made the place really nice to stay. The staff is very polite and helpful. They try their best to make you feel comfortable. Good food too. Nelson also arranged for the best guide and vehicle for our safari.

From the safari, over the ceremony and blessing by the elders, visit to the village, learning about your school projects, to the accommodations, and kind care from everyone - I will never forget this experience. Hopefully, I will be able to come back soon and bring my family/friends on one of the trips. I thank Nelson, Maggie, and the entire...

Nelson runs a lovely camp on the foot of the lush hills near the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You wake up to the sounds of nature, and a beautiful view all the way to Naboisho Conservancy. End your day around the camp fire, enjoying a beer or a cup of Kenyan tea, and listen to Nelson's stories about growing up...

We stayed for two nights in February. We were met by the staff with hot towels and a drink. They were the friendliest and most accommodating imagineable. The accommodation we slept in was a tent attached to a toilet and shower area. My wife didn't think she would like it but loved it! The shower was really good. Willy the...

My wife and I went to Maasai Mara for 3 days and stayed at Oldarpoi Mara Camp, a community camp run by Nelson and Maggie Reiyia. These guys are incredible people who devote their lives to help their fellow Maasai by building schools, creating jobs and helping to promote Maasai culture. In addition to going on game drives and seeing...

We stayed at Oldarpoi Mara Camp for three days this November and had an incredible experience. The owners, Nelson and his wife and the camp crew took us on a safari where we discovered the maasai mara national park with a jeep all to our own, meters away from lions with cubs, elephants, rhino's and leopards. We went on a...
