As a frequent visitor to Lamu, Lamu palace Hotel has become a must go to! Their sea front restaurant has some of the best meals in Lamu! The staff are friendly and service great, and the ambience very relaxing. Their grilled prawns and Parsley potatoes are to die for! The portions are also quite fair! Make sure to stop for... More

This one's gonna be short and precise. Stayed for a business trip. Booked in advance over phone, still didn't get room and was shifted to a sister hotel nearby. However had a breakfast and meals here. So should write about that only. Wifi ( toooooo slowww) only available at the reception area. Sitting like any other mid budget hotel, add... More

A good friend and I stopped at Petley's Inn for drinks but were told the rooftop bar was closed till 4pm so we decided to go to Lamu Palace Hotel. We sat inside the hotel but close to the patio and were quickly served by a very attentive waiter who took our drinks request. My friend had to leave for... More

Check in was swift and the friendly and courteous manager upgraded me to a sea view room. I had stunning views of the Indian Ocean!Absolutely stunning! I would wake up to a beautiful sunrise! The... The hotel organised a boat to pick me up from Manda island where the airport is located (a very nice trip with Air Kenya and a lovely small airport which is only 3 years old - the Kenya Airports Authority has done a good job). Boniface, the receptionist came with the boat, helped with bags and was very kind and... More

The best place you can find in lamu center!! The beach in front allows you lovely sunsets and all the movement of the " beach boys" while taking tourists to other islands. Wonderful service and fresh fish and lobsters!

We loved this hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is very beautiful. Now, I don't like most five star hotels or any place that feels fussy. Seriously, you're going to diss a place because it doesn't have slippers? This is simple and elegant. Our room was simple, clean and gorgeous with small bottles of... More

The rooms are comfortable and one has the option of air conditioning or the fun. The rooms are also clean, and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is quite central, and organized pick up from the airport. Breakfast was very basic. Enjoyed the balconies, nice place to relax with the view of the ocean at the end of the... More

I was shocked that there are no slippers in the rooms. How do i shower and step on the floor barefoot? And there is no carpet! Style up! The wifi is very good! Its far much better than safaricom internet.
