Kijani Hotel is an excellent place to stay and highly recommend it when visiting Lamu. The staff was very courteous and went out of their way to help on many occasions. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and look forward to returning.

Kijani Hotel was a serene pocket on the edge of Shela town with a beautiful garden and pool. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and left me wanting to return there for my next stay in Lamu. A beautiful setting and quaint rooms in a great location.

During my trip to Lamu Island last year, We on a whim decided to move base from the old town to Shela, we made a very late booking - i.e the night before but the guys at Kijani were there to pick us up from old town the next morning and on time. Kijani House is a hidden Gem. The...

Kijani environment is soothing. The rooms were spacious. Situated near the sea for easy available access to water taxis. All the staff were amazing. Special thanks to Douglas and Amos. Would suggest portable coolers as it was quite hot during this month and fans were not enough. On the whole a wonderful stay.

My partner and I spent 4 relaxing days at Kiljani which was a great choice being easily accessible to both Lamu and Shona. Beautiful Swahili architecture, cute little pool in a pretty garden, great food and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

We spent 4 days over New Year at Kijani house. The hotel is lovely and the staff exceptional. Lamu has had a tough few years with tourism and you can see that in some areas of the hotel that are a little 'tired' but the staff more than make up for it. They are friendly and will do anything to...

We enjoyed four nights in this Charming, old hotel in swahili style. Most rooms were big and all had a Balcony. There is a few meters to walk for a swim in the ocean, but it is a wonderful walk on white sand. We arrived after the hotel had been closed some weeks, so after the rooms were aired out...
