I loved my experience at JamboHouse, I visited during the Lamu Cultural Festival in 2016. My room was lovely especially considering how much I was paying for it. Given that I could barely access internet in Lamu and its environs the free wi-fi at JamboHouse was a saviour. I loved the breakfast as well, fresh fruit and fresh juice available... More

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast was good (tea/coffee, fruit, eggs and toast). The rooms cost a reasonable $15-20 usd. The owner is super friendly and really helpful for things to do around Lamu. It is situated in the heart of Lamu town. Definitely recommend.

Best budget place on the island! Arnold, the owner, traveled a lot himself and knows exactly what his guests want. He is the good soul of the B&B. I really would recommend booking all your activities with him as he knows the locals, gets good prices and has a good overview of what to do in general. Lovely breakfast on... More

What a fantastic, albeit brief stay at Jambo House in Lamu! As many people have mentioned both Arnold and Adam make your stay here very special. On arrival, Arnold walked me through recommendations for restaurants and things to do on my trip. In fact, even before I arrived, he had already given me an excellent breakdown of my onward journey... More

This guesthouse offers excellent service, very nice roof top spaces to chill out and simple, clean rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and there are a wide number of possibilities to explore the village. It is located in the heart of the village and you really get to experience the village life in the midst of donkeys and prayer calls.

So, here is the deal. We stayed for 3 nights at JamboHouse with my sister and a friend in the month of March.
