My organization held its annual end-year staff party at this hotel. The food was good, although the set-up was not completed by the agreed time. But the worst thing was the parking. There is basement parking under the hotel building, and a few very narrow spaces on the road level outside. I asked if I could be permitted to enter the compound to use the basement parking and was told my car would be OK outside. When I went to leave after a few hours, my driver's door had a dent and a scratch, which had been caused by a car next to me opening their front passenger door carelessly. If there was a watchman overseeing the parking, or they had let me use the basement, this wouldn't have happened, but as it is I will have to spend money to repair it.
I was a guest who arrived from London on 23rd March and as a directive by the government of Kenya to go into mandatory quarantine, I checked in at Mash Park hotel. The check in experience was terrible, manager on duty, Jens Rehm was very rude to the group of people assigned to the hotel. The attitude from the hotel staff, literally we were being treated like lepers. We understood we were in quarantine and not allowed to leave our rooms. But when your food is served in foil paper and disposable plastic, and put on the floor, I don't what treatment that is. The only member of staff at the hotel with a human heart was Ashah Chege, a stewardess, God bless her beautiful soul. She treated us with empathy and dignity. The food from the restaurant, burnt, dry, we just ordered because we had no choice. Anyway, I don't know what the standard of the hotel is during normal circumstances, but we didn't deserve the treatment we got, yet we were paying our accommodation at Market rate. As for the chef, thumbs down.…
The Mash Park Hotel has pleasant helpful staff and a nice pool area and bar. The food is also good and at reasonable prices. We arrived here to pouring rain at midnight after a long day travelling from the UK and were looking forward to a good nights sleep before sightseeing the following day but unfortunately the room we were given overlooked a tin roof which made for an awful noise as the rain crashed down on it.The room although comfortable also had a poor bathroom that needs modernisation. Apart from these niggles the hotel offers excellent prices and has good facilities.
I felt that this hotel had a superb location off Ngong rd. It made everything convenient. The staff was mostly friendly and efficient. The rooms were all quite clean. The breakfast which was included in the price was just fine,
This hotel was my first visit in Nairobi. I enjoyed time spent on the terrace and by the pool when not on tours. Food could be better but it was OK. Hospitality was excellent although sometimes was not easy to communicate because not all of staff speaks English. Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel for staying!
I was advised by a friend to go here. And it was a good advice. Nice hotel, good spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. I had no reservation, but was lucky to get a room. Price is good. Breakfast was good.
This hotel has a good selection of facilities. The staff were pleasant, cheerful, and helpful. The food was ok and perhaps a new chef / menu would help. But breakfast was fine. Unfortunately, the very strong bedroom door handles meant they needed to be slammed. And the (very noisy) gym could be heard as early as 5am. Nevertheless, it wasperfectly adequate.
I had a great time at this beautiful hotel. They have a very professional customer service. Their prices are affordable with swimming and breakfast included. They will need to add an African touch to the food they prepare in their restaurants. It is a good place to bring children.
I stayed at Mash Park for four days and what i enjoyed most was the service i got. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and they were always willing to assist.. excellent service!!! The hotel is located in a convinent placde next to shopping malls and easy access to public transport. It was a great stay.
The Hotel has renovated their Finnish sauna up to FIN-standards and it's working fine! You can also go to the well equipped but small gym and relax afterwards in the sauna.. (sorry that the outdoor pool is not connected to the sauna) Recommending this for serious sauna friends!
