I stayed here as the starting point for my G-Adventures tour. It is a friendly and comfortable place and the staff was extremely helpful. My bags were lost on the flight over, but the Heron collected and kept them while I went in safari, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet is good and offers a variety of options for local and cosmopolitan tastes. The business center had several essential items that I needed to purchase while my bags were delayed. The security at the hotel is tremendous and I never felt unsafe. Pool is large and spacious. Located only 5-10 mins ( with Nairobi traffic) from the Central Business District. Try a Dawa Tea at the coffee shop—made from scratch!

The hotel offers delicious meals. The staff are outstanding and have good knowledge of their job. The rooms are very spacious especially the club rooms. The gym is well equiped and pool is large and clean . The security guards are friendly. Thank you Sir David Mwaniki for inviting us to have both Lunch and Breakfast at this grandeur Hotel .

Big room, pool, nice gym, walk to Central Business district and arboretum. Wonderful staff. Buffet Breakfast was great. Shower head above my over 6 foot head (hardly ever find that). Will come back of I get the chance.

Pros: spacious rooms, staff is excellent, very helpful, friendly and responsive, good service at restaurant. Security was good and I felt very safe. The hot water is a little tricky, and that was disappointing and frustrating after 23 hours of travel. I got there at 3am so there was no one available to help. The next day I let them know the shower was cold and someone came right away and tested it and showed me that first turn on the sink tap to get the hot water running, wait 3 minutes and then the shower was hot and glorious. It would be better if they told guests this when they checked in. Overall I would recommend it.

Was delighted to know that I had been booked into the Heron Hotel again. The reception staff were welcoming, efficient and very helpful. Cases were delivered to the room quickly and the rooms are spacious and have good facilities including microwave cooker, fridge and kettle. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the hotel is excellent - plenty variety and the meals in the adjacent cafe are well prepared and presented. We left the hotel to spend three days in the Masai Mara but the hotel very kindly kept all the luggage we didn't need to take with us. On our return they were equally welcoming. We had an early flight to catch to Zimbabwe the following day. The Heron staff organised taxis for us - nothing is too much effort for them. Was good to be back.

Nice hotel to stay. The staff are amazing. I attended a conference in the hotel. My room was vey well cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast buffet is very tasty snd delicious. David and wedley are very helpful. Good hotel to stay. I will recommend it to my friends visiting Nairobi.

I visited this hotel for conference. The check-in process was very smooth. I was upgraded to a superior room which was spacious and clean. The hotel has got a heated swimming pool and gym. Its the first time in the hotel ,the room was very spacious and it was very comfortable i really enjoyed the visit ..the worker there are very friendly,the conference room was wonderful as there was everything needed in place ,i look forward to comming back to this hotel ,the view is also great ,the swimming pool is heated and this place is near town.I really can't think of a better place than this one.Thank you to the hotel and those working in this place.
