I loved the Palacina hotel. It is small, intimate, calm and a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has excellent service and I always felt completely looked after. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The facilities are clean, the pool was lovely and food delicious. I will be recommending it. Thank you Palacina!
Staff very helpful and welcoming. Good choice for breakfast and the restaurant is nice for lunch or dinner. There is a gym, outdoor pool and heated indoor pool. The hotel and its garden are in a quiet spot not far from Yaya Center (5-10min by car) and the area of Kilimani is very convenient as a whole.
I was in Nairobi for a week with a friend and decided to stay here. It was truly a home away from home. I had issues with my uber one morning as I was rushing to a meeting in the city center and they offered me a courtesy ride. They had everything we needed including a scale to weigh our luggage :) The airport drop was also so convenient. Everyone we encountered was professional and provided outstanding service. Special shout out to John, Patrick, Gilbert, and Thomas who made our stay so memorable.
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights after our safari and it was wonderful. It felt very intimate and homey versus larger hotels we previously stayed at near the Nairobi airport. At the Palacina, we booked a one bedroom suite that included a lovely balcony, separate living area and a luxurious bathroom - just what we needed after staying at camps. The food is very good and the staff attended to our every need and wish. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
The apartments are just beautiful and service is great. Everything is the apartments is tastefully done and room service is readily available. Food was great, so was the staff. Make sure to book in the new building for the excessive apartments. The old building is too colonial in its design and has an old feel but some might actually like it. There is a nice small gym and a large inside pool as well.
Just what I needed for a break. Easy check-in. Quiet, lovely suite. Amazing breakfast - it’s made to order. Loved the home made muesli, the delicious omelette and yummy pancakes. Absolute value for money.
Had a family week at Palacina and I must say it's a hidden gem, thelush greenery and chirping birds in the morning the well done breakfast and food and the staff who are always eager to help, we booked a trip to the park and it was a breeze, the rooms are also spacious and airy you don't feel like you are in a hotel...it has limited rooms but it's worth it all the way...
Spent a weekend with our kids at Palacina and it was just splendid, the air is calm the rooms nice and spacious and the heated pool is just amazing, their food is great and kid friendly... definitely coming more and more.
My wife and I stayed four nights, our first time in Kenya. The property is quite nice. Well maintained. Fairly quiet. The older building has smaller rooms and is a bit more charming. What distinguishes this property is the staff. They are professional, yes. Very much so. But more, they are wonderfully helpful and very friendly. The net effect is that Palacina has a ‘home away from home’ feel. High praise. It was delightful to stay with them.
The true gift of travel is the people you meet along the way. Thank you to Thomas, Esther, Martin and the whole gracious team at Palacina for making our stay so welcoming and enjoyable. The breakfast and dinners were very good. We particularly enjoyed the salmon, the chicken/rice dish, and the snapper.
