The rooms are small and the place has a concrete feel to it. I stayed only one night, but it felt like a motel you would only visit to sleep. The bed and wifi were decent and the breakfast was included

I hate to give a bad review but this hostel is dirty and unwelcoming. There was mold on the ceiling and a squashed spider on the wall. (the wifi was good though). My friends and I walked straight out the door on arrival and found a hotel a few buildings down (towards the city) that gave us a hotel room...

We stayed there for the first night of our visit for one reason - they are the only budget place who responded to our email, as we arrived at night is was important for us to organise the first room and a taxi from the airport. This was the best part of the deal. The double room was horrible, dirty,...

A very great overall hostel. Close to city center in an area that feels very safe. The shack just outside serves what I believe is the best food I've had in Kenya. Beds are pretty comfortable but the pillows I'm not a fan of. Wi-Fi is strong and staff is great. Breakfast not so good

room was pathetic. dirty congested, there was no place to even walk around, the lock was not working. yet, the worst part was in the name of free breakfast, they just provided one banana, one cup of tea and one fried bread kind of thing. literally not worth. only good part was the free wifi.

If you are not staying in the dorms, the twin private does not deserve $40. Common bathroom and toilets are really dilapidated, the entire hostel needs a good refresh (dirty walls). Restaurant is no good. The location is in a good neighborhood of Nairobi but has nothing more to offer.

Great location - there is not much camping anywhere in walking distance (20-30 minutes) to the central business district. Dorms seem nice enough, I did have an issue with mosquitoes last time I was in them (though mozzies are few in Nairobi). Camping is fine - there are a few patches of "grass" and cement behind the main building -...

Had a great time at Manyatta Backpackers! The staff there are so lovely: always ready to help you, making the place feel like home and they are really good in cooking the local dishes (their mandazis and chapatis were the best I got the month i spend in Kenya). If you want to use the kitchen is also open for...

Was pleased with Manyatta backpackers. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Even arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the bus station when we arrived in Nairobi. There are no mosquito nets but we had no trouble with mosquitos (perhaps they are not as active in winter?). But the beds are comfy and clean. Basically you get what...
