Stayed here for one night while passing through Nairobi. The rooms were okay (small but clean). It was an average hotel that was close to the hotel so good for people who are looking to spend the night somewhere close and affordable.
We spent two nights at this hotel. It's appropriately priced for what you get. The WiFi is strong which may be the most positive attribute. The room was quite small, and the bed was comfortable. I would give 1.5 stars for the restaurant. Food delivery was slow, and prices were high.
Visited Milele hotel in April, 17. The weather was awesome in Nairobi. Milele hotel is situated at South of Nairobi. Not far from Airport. No traffic problems. Food is great too. Rooms are bit small with no Air Condition (weather of Nairobi is fine). $45 to $55 per night is affordable easily.
The hotel is very convenient due to its distance from the CBD. Average facilities. Quiet atmosphere for a planning retreat. The facility is very popular with churches and Christian organizations. It's a budget hotel thus very pocket friendly.
We stayed a week, with a meal plan. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, it is next door to a horribly loud mosque that blares out suddenly before dawn. Room was comfortable and clean, with small balcony and bed had mosquito net. No air conditioning, but it wasn't needed. Some loud running and yelling by kids. No elevators. Beautiful grounds and good food.
Location of the hotel is good. The hotel ambiance was very peaceful. The rooms were more or less ok (i mean not very great). The staff at the hotel were humble and cooperative. The food was more or less ok.
Milele Nairobi is not your normal hotel. It is a guest-house. Rooms are not air-conditioned, but Nairobi has a moderate climate because it is over 1,600 metres or 5,500 ft. You might want to ask for a fan for your room. There is a mosquito net surrounding the bed, and I think I only spotted three mosquitos in the room during the five nights I spent there. The breakfast is very basic, but you can have all the coffee or tea that you want. The staff are pleasant, but the kitchen is rather slow. Milele is located directly next to a large mosque. I heard the 5:00 AM call to prayer two or three days, but it wasn't blaringly loud (as I've experienced in some other countries) and didn't last long. I would stay here again if I had to (the price was very reasonable) but I would prefer to stay in a nicer hotel with a nice restaurant and wi-fi that I didn't have to follow around with my phone held up in the air. :-)…
This hotel is close to the airport (a good thing given Nairobi traffic). It is clean but definitely nothing fancy, and appears to cater to large groups-- church groups traveling to do volunteer work as far as we could tell. The groups tend to be very noisy, and the walls are thin, so if you stay be sure to bring earplugs. They have a really good breakfast buffet and the wait staff was really nice. Don't do laundry here though; it is ridiculously expensive-- $5 for one pair of socks!
