We ended our two week safari trip with a "day" room at Hemingways. Our room was much more than we needed. Very luxurious. Our room was quiet and very clean. The grounds are lovely. The restaurant food is very good.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Although it still feels way too colonial for my liking, there is no doubt that Hemingway’s provides the highest quality base in Nairobi.
Service, food and rooms were excellent. Does anyone really need a suite that big?

I don’t think there are spa facilities other than treatments and such. There is a gym you can access to work out. I did visit the spa and had two great treatments. The products they use are great and I ended up bringing some home. Not sure about the pool hours but you should be covered, especially depending upon the time of year. We were there in July and it was too cold to swim. I don’t remember buying water and had plenty to drink. I believe housekeeping gives you some each day and if you want more you can get it.

When I was there check out was officially 10 am but they were flexible with us. I’m sure they can accommodate but assuming you’re flying there, the way the flights work is they leave at 11 from the airstrip, don’t really have any flights that leave later from what I saw. So unless you drive there yourself (the manager didn’t recommend), you’ll probably have an 11 flight and won’t need to check out late. Would also recommend booking through a travel agent. We tried booking our trip direct ourselves and the logistics were a pain to try and figure out
