Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Sarova Panafric hotel multiple times during our vacation, using this as almost our home base to come back to between safaris! Everyone was absolutely amazing the entire staff made us feel like we were returning home when we would come back from our safaris!
We walked down to the pool side one night and made comment that we may want to come back down and swim and have a drink (around 5pm). Something came up and we didnt go down tell around 9:30 and when we got down there the bar was about to close but they stayed open when they saw us. We stayed down for a couple hours and when about to leave they told us they kept the bar open for us, because they knew we wanted to come back down.
The rooms were really nice as well, the beds were super comfortable. Room maintance was always kept up each day. All the rooms had working AC in them, and though we went in January and it was cold for the locals we were very thankful for this!

The PanAfric has been there a long time, but the Sarova management have ensured that it is kept right up to date with room refurbs and plenty of modern touches. The artwork and sculptures in the foyer are one example, and the fresh flower displays were amazing! Right in the heart of the city, it is a quiet escape and we were happy with every aspect of our stay. Huge rooms, modern and well equipped. Lovely pool. a slight odd lift system that requires you to pre-select your floor, but we mastered it after 2 days!
On the downside, we were only given one key card per room, but you need a key to use the lifts, enter the floor landings and (of course) enter the room. So why not issue two keycards as standard?
And on a second point, we booked via booking.com and the USD price that was quoted was then changed to Kenya Shillings and we had to add about $5 per room per night. It never goes down well when you think you've paid in full but then get a top-up charge upon check-out. If the hotel quotes in a particular currency via its booking partners, then it should honour that price and not play games with exchange rates. Other than that, we had a great stay but all too short.

I can not fully express how wonderful my experience at Sarova Panafric was. We were warmly greeted as if family and were delighted by the beautiful fresh flowers and fruit in our room. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the poolside Sunday brunch is a MUST!! My husband and I stayed several nights and loved the extra touch’s with the toiletry kit, smart TVs, bottled water in the room, turn down service and chocolates. After being out on game drives in previous days we had a lot of laundry which was quickly returned fresh to our room! The hotel is a quick drive to many attractions including the Giraffe Manor and Karen Blixen Museum for tourists like us. When not sightseeing we loved lounging by the pool which was very relaxing and had exceptional service. We would love to come back and will be sure to point any friends visiting Nairobi to the Panafric hotel.

We spent three night's at the Savora Panafric hotel prior to the commencement of our Safari. This was our first experience of Kenyan hospitality and it didn't disappoint and we were very well looked after by all the staff.
We particularly enjoyed the lovely pool area which was perfect for pre safari relaxation.
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the very pleasant flame tree restaurant.
Breakfast was buffet service with an excellent selection of choices and very attentive waiters who made sure or coffee cups were kept refilled.
It is not particularly easy to walk to anywhere from this hotel, however, the taxi services from the hotel are excellent and we took a cab to the Kenyan National Museum and the driver waited for us all at a very reasonable cost.
Our room was clean and comfortable and we were well rested by the time we started our safari adventure.

Our family of four stayed at this beautiful and modern hotel in the Upper Hill neighborhood on three separate occasions while vacationing in Kenya and Tanzania. The facility is quiet, clean, welcoming, secure, tastefully designed and offers a very nice restaurant (The Flametree), gym and outdoor swimming pool. The beds and bathrooms were comfortable and ample in size, the hot water pressure was good and housekeeping very thorough. In addition, the wi-fi worked well. The laundry service was excellent. However, our stays were considerably enriched by the incredible staff who were professional, thoughtful and eager to assist whenever we asked. In addition, the hotel has a small gift shop with high quality East African crafts from beaded ware to leather bags and journals run by the very competent Grace. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Nairobi.

I enjoyed my stay during my weekend staycation. The staff are very friendly and give attention to detail. They made our stay worthwhile since we really needed to get out of the house and have a weekend to ourselves. They even offered us breakfast in bed when we requested. During our stay, I got an opportunity to visit the Wangari Maathai wing which is a women-only wing with security measures up to standard. The rooms have a video-enabled intercom system whereby the guest is able to communicate and see the person at the door before letting them in. The rooms are ideal for ladies' night out, bridal showers, or someone who simply needs some time away from the other gender.

Before I get into any issues I want to make a very special mention to our wonderful guest relations lady Maureen. She was absolutly lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
She was so genuine and wanted to know us and help with anything she could.
The rooms are clean and good sized with safes but the wifi coverage is poor. I found the food poor. The restaurant was dull and unwelcominging. During the evening I requested a diet coke only to be told they had run out!
I would have liked usb ports in the rooms
I ordered a fillet steak and what we got was not what I recognise a fillet steak to be
Maureen needs to be very valued and ideally snapped up by a better hotel

My visit to Nairobi and my stray at the Panafric Hotel on Valley Road, was without a doubt the best. From the security guard, staff, hosts, front desk, servers and managers everyone there is so warm, professional, articulate and professional. They make you feel at home and they go out of their way to make feel welcome. Great rooms, extensive choice of exquisite food. It’s location is very central, close to the city center and great security. This is a great place to stay and I will be back again and take photos. Thank you Sarova Hotels.

It has been a while since I stayed over night in Nairobi, having a business meeting in the area Panafric was convenient and having stayed many times in the past, it was my first choice. There has been a few changes since my last visit, notably the new wing of the hotel is 90% complete and guests can stay, I have to say it is impressive. The luxury is typlical of what you can expect from any Sarova hotel and backed by excellent service, you will not be dissapointed.
Taking in to consideration the current threat of COVID, Panafric have gone beyond the minimum standards as laid out by the World Health Organisation, their attention to detail and professionalism is beyond reproach.
The standard of food quality continues to maintain a consistent high level, I can certainly recommend the Thai salmon served with fresh, (local) vegetables.
All in all, Sarova Panafric have never failed to impress and I will always stay when I can. Thank you to all the staff for the warmest welcome, my family.
