Lovely Hotel. It was our last hotel in a brilliant Safari to Kenya. It was also my Wife's Birthday and the hotel made a real fuss of her, they put Rose petals in the shape of 70 and left some handmade sweets as well.
Commendation hospitality services ,particularly from one young lady called Mitchel Njoroge ,that was a wonderful ! keep it up. Keep it that way you be going great heights in this industry...see you again soon!
Thanks to Joseph in restaurant breakfast. Super attentive ! Very clean, great food, and service. I recommend it. Lively hotel and people. Safe, clean, friendly. First stop in Kenya legood impression. Impression.
Our family had a recent stay and we have to say the hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful. To top off our visit, we booked their High Tea and it blew our minds! It was the perfect finish for the kids and adults. Bravo!
Courteous and friendly staff, comfortable bed and facilities. Food was good and I liked the layout of the place. It looked like out of a Disney movie. Gave a nice fee. Loved the pens too. And the water bottles!
The staff and services provided is excellent. I met Kevin Mbuo, such a great service person, leading a well cultured team. Really, the hotel provided outstanding services. The Food was great. If you are traveling to Nairobi, make sure you stay there.
Your hotel was fabulous. The staff couldn’t have been any better. Please let Ruth know she brightened our trip with her professionalism and friendly attitude. On our last visit you had an employee named Godfrey. Sad to see he’s not there anymore his attention to detail was impressive
A visit to tge Norfolk today gave me a real great memory. The kindness and wonderful staff to the service by Peter. The great Chef I think he wad John greatly willing to replicate the signature Norfolk sandwich which is no longer in the menu. Ooh my the sumptuous pork. That was great. GREAT. Can't wait to get back for more. Norfolk I had missed you. Great you are back.
A really very lovely hotel. From the moment I entered it felt like a relaxing retreat, with a refreshing hot towel followed by ginger mint tea as I checked in. As a Platinum I was upgraded to a mini suite, and the room was gorgeous and very well appointed, with multiple beautiful bunches of flowers. Mattress was a bit disappointing, no better than a Novotel or even an Ibis, though the bedding was great and I slept well. Service throughout was impeccable, every staff member I encountered in my two day stay was friendly, engaging and capable. Breakfast was outstanding - I've stayed at Sankara and Tribe and this breakfast beats both. Three different types of Bircher muesli gives you an idea of the extremes it went to. Stocking multiple different plant milks was a great touch too. The gym was the best I've ever seen in a hotel anywhere - so much so that I went to a gym for the first time in five years, and had an excellent personal training session with Renée. I spent nearly four hours in the gym, sauna, steam and heated outdoor pool - with all of it practically to myself. As a Platinum I got a room upgrade, welcome drink, a late checkout, and some patisserie snacks in my room - but there wasn't really anything personalised about it, like you get in a Sofitel or even a Pullman. I did get a welcome note from Veronique Delattre (who replies to all these reviews but didn't reply to my email) that wished me well on my honeymoon! It was news to my fiancé who was at home in Paris. I thought it was quite funny, but it's indicative of the lack of personal attention that I've really appreciated in other top-drawer Accor brands, and I kinda expected more from Fairmont. The real downer for me was when I left. I was staying in Nairobi for three weeks, and after the first few days my original hotel was sold out for two nights, so I booked two nights at the Fairmont Norfolk to try the hotel as part of Accor's flash sale. I would rather have stayed the remaining 13 days at the Fairmont Norfolk rather than return to my other hotel - and I could have bought those extra 13 days at the same rate in the flash sale had I known at the time how good the hotel was. But when I went to extend, revenue control tried to double my rate. The hotel was happy to have taken that original rate when I booked it a few days before, and looking around the place I'd guess occupancy at the hotel was well under half. It was absolutely idiotic that no-one was empowered to extend me at the rate the hotel was previously happy to accept. A lose-lose situation, the hotel was left with an empty room, and someone that might have become a big fan of the hotel was left feeling a bit hard done by. Still, I expect I'll return someday.…
My family traveled to Kenya to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. We stayed at the Norfolk for three days during our arrival and one night during our departure. We also did three nights at the Fairmont Masa Safari Camp. This was truly the trip of a lifetime and some of the best service I have ever had. Recently renovated, the facility was gorgeous and the staff incredible. The food/decor at CInCin at the hotel was outstanding. The concierge arranged out in country flights to the safari, and all transportation and your needs. We could not be happier and would 10/10 recommend the experience to other families traveling with older children!!!! We saved thousands by not needing a tour operator as Fairmont Kenya took care of all of our needs.
