My wife and I have stayed in many tented camps before.
As this trips a family trip, our kids were blown away by the atmosphere and the location of the luxury tents and the quality of the WiFi.
A Kenyan Gem is the Buffalo Springs Reserve, where we were given the opportunity to see many animals, much to our delight.
The plunge pools off each room were a very welcome way to cool down.
All the staff were terrific, with special mention to Martin, one of the managers, Andy a server and Isaac who tended the bar.
The food was excellent, although in our opinion, there 2as too much Indian Cusine, but never-the-less food choices were more than adequate.
We loved this place!

Just stayed one night, but this is a beautiful resort.
Looks like it is relatively new, so still has a couple of things that are not perfect, but you can see they will work through them.
The rooms are perfect, with modern amenities, great shower, separate toilet, comfortable queen bed, very nice fitting throughout.
Very nice modern minimalist deck and chairs, with great view down the river and the elephants and off the deck is plunge pool. Was pretty cold at night in October, but we tried it anyway.
All the design elements are well matched from the sails over the rooms to the same style in the main building.
Restaurant and bar feature open space with, roll down "canvas" walls matching the tented sail. Reception area is a simple, practical desk to the side of the entry area. Beautiful views down to the river and the animals.
Infinity pool and spa are also available, by we did not have time to use.
Food was delicious. The best we had in all the camps.
Staff and Management were very helpful and friendly.

The lodge is located in a great location. Less than 30 minutes from the Ngare Mare gate. Rooms are comfortable with private plunge pools and there is a communal pool that offers some much needed respite from the heat. The highlight of our stay were the staff in particular Martin (F&B Manager), James and the kitchen staff. The food was exceptional! Some minor issues with hot water in the shower not being available and not enough drinking water being provided that were sorted out.

The property is beautifully made and the location is exactly on the river. Very pleasant and calm surroundings. But I would not recommend staying there for the kind of service the provide after the amount of money they are charging.
This place was our first stop during my trip to Kenya but had a very rough experience.

To begin:
1. The welcome was very well organized and the junior staff is very friendly. I had some bugs and tiny reptiles in my room(Which is understandable, being in the area) I asked them if they could help get them out which no one came.
2. The second night- During the dinner a Lady Manager meets all the tables around, but ours(again very rude when you meet all the different ethnicity people around asking if everything is comfortable but don’t meet only one table. Such an insult in the service industry.
3. I have never seen a 4star or a 5star resort asking me to pay an amount for Ice & telling me it is how things are in Kenya & it is mentioned in the room books. We understand corkage fee and we were okay paying it. But overcharging the fee is below standards for a place like this. The person in charge asked us to order something from the bar, which we did, in order to get some ice! Later they send a bill for 2500 KES for that same glass of ice.Which we were told that with an order from the bar, they would be able to provide but the next glass would be chargeable. When we raised our concerns during the conversation with the local manager- Felix, the General Manager walks up and asks us to pay the amount, not even trying to provide help! She states that we should go to our rooms and read the rule book that shows that Ice & water are chargeable. Read the entire book- NO MENTION!!

4. Same day a foreigner tourist family on the next table are welcomed with a local celebration/cake/music- very generous family to share their celebration with us. We ask the server of what was happening they say the table were celebrating an occasion. When we passed our wished to the table- They were surprised as why they were getting the celebration treatment!!!

5. The last day they ask us to share our reviews on the activities they have at the resort, which is when we find out that they take the guests on morning walks. No one informed us about the same.

Were racial behavior!
Next we stayed at 5 Different locations and none of the places charged us for Water/Ice or any other thing that was told to us that it is Kenyan Policy to charge for Water & Ice.

5. The Bar tender JJ- Great person in the entire staff! He absolutely knows how to talk to people, greet them. I believe the only person I would give a 5 star at the place.

Zero rating to this place!!!

Noteworthy details: Do not waste your Money here!!

We stayed for two nights here on our week long safari trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our holiday!
The rooms were amazing and the staff were incredibly welcoming. There was a very high standard of customer service throughout all departments, the food was wonderful with a varied range to chose from. It was lovely to meet Vionagh (I hope I spelled that right!) especially with our names being so similar! I hope that someday we will be able to return and enjoy the hospitality once again.

The architecture, interior decor, rook designs and river view are absolutely stunning! The individual plunge pools were the cherry on top!
Breakfast with a view of elephants drinking from the river was unforgettable.
However…. Some work needs to go into training of staff on mindfulness and being hospitable.

Absolutely lovely place, we would definitely recommend. The whole family enjoyed our stay. The rooms are lovely with good attention to detail, the kids loved the plunge pools with the rooms. The staff were all very happy, helpful and attentive. There was a good variety of food daily and for the kids, the cocktails were fab! The views of the landscape and wildlife were first class! We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in November 2023.
The property was very nice as was the staff. Each room has its own small swimming pool. Breakfast was good.
The problem is that it was impossible to eat dinner in the dining area because it is open air with no walls or screens. There were so many bugs that we continually had to brush them from our plates. The staff finally offered to bring our evening meals to our room.
We were told that the manager wanted to let down the screens that are rolled up in the dining area but the owners say no.
It is a very nice place. Very clean and well kept. If the bugs were handled it would be near perfect.
Because of the bug problem we will never go back there.

I loved everything about it. The room, the hosts, the animals. It was the best of the best The food was top notch. The hosts were so friendly and kind. Surprised us with a dance and song and a cake to welcome us to Kenya. This is my favorite place. And as for the animals we seen everything except the leopard. We walked down to the river outside our room and there were all of the elephants down in a huge group drinking water. An experience I won't forget . I give them a 5 out of 5. It is a must stop and enjoy. Forgot to mention our driver, he was very good. He was our driver for the whole 8 days. Very knowledgeable and he made sure we were safe. Loved every moment.
