Incredibly basic hotel. One step above a backpackers. Breakfast is basic over cooked eggs. Lonely sausages and bacon in Bain Maries. Rooms have no flyscreens on windows so impossible to sleep with windows open. No air conditioning. TV didnt work in 2 different rooms. Rooms on one side of hotel are incredibly noisy due to a water pump that switched...

Shanema Homes is a good option for both short and longer stays especially if you want/need to be near the UN. I was only here two nights but I appreciated a couple things - the rooms were good - not fancy but comfortable and more than adequate, I really enjoyed the garden layout and the 3 gazebos that you could...

It was so cosy and wonderful. The staff were really helpful and the serene environment was amazing. The rooms were really comfy and the breakfast was continental. I could request what I wanted. The WIFI was up and running all the time. And its close to all amenities.

Clean but shabby looking and very standard room. Thin mattress and wall paper thin. Could use renovation. Staff are friendly. Food mediocre. Place nothing special but close to UN. Flight delayed and staff at guest house waited up for us but car service never arrived at airport to pick us up. Maybe not be hotel's fault though.... No shampoo in...

I stayed for one night and when departing, I forgot my coat. I called the number to ask the staff to hand it over to the driver. The lady said she will check. I called back less than a minute and she said she did not find it. This is not possible since it would have taken her more than...

I simply loved it there, the place has really toped its game, relaxing in the evenings in the leafy bamboo treed backyard with a view of the well manicured garden in african designed Gazebos, from the last time i was here, I AM IMPRESSED, Shanema is better than home lol, when you there make sure you meet Albert, made my...

Reasonably adequate rooms, but the walls are paper-thin and the staff spend half the night talking (or shouting) to each other in the hallways at full volume. Unbelievably inconsiderate. Also, the bathroom fixtures are just sad -- toilet takes an hour to refill (noisily), sink splutters like mad every time you turn on the tap and the shower door wouldn't...

the atmosphere was quite exceptional due to its serene environment. I very much enjoyed myself and would recommend it to anyone. I liked its location the most not forgetting the service from the staff.
